When to book a technician visit

  1. 1

AC that no longer cools properly

The unit runs but the air is barely cool, you hear knocking from the indoor head, or you find water on the wall. The technician brings pressure gauges and electrical test tools and finds the cause before starting any repair.

  2. 2

A fridge or cold room in your shop

The fridge does not hold temperature, or the compressor runs without cycling off. Stock loss starts before you notice the fault. The technician comes to your shop, checks the circuit and tells you the real condition of the unit.

  3. 3

A sudden fault with no obvious cause

The AC trips the breaker, runs without cooling, or gives off a smell. These symptoms can have different causes. The technician checks the board, compressor, capacitor and coil in the right order and explains what he finds.

What sets this district apart

Al Salamah is a relatively modern district of villas and apartment blocks with reasonable outdoor space, and most homes use separate or central split systems. The newer building character here offers easier access to outdoor units and roofs than older quarters, but many villas have complex AC setups that need precise diagnosis to pinpoint the fault among multiple units or parts of one central system.

Al Salamah is in west Jeddah, a modern residential area of villas and apartment blocks with open roofs.

Most villas in Al Salamah use separate split units in each room, or one central AC system serving the whole house.

The AC setup in Al Salamah

  1. 1

    Separate split in each room

Most modern villas in Al Salamah use separate split units for better temperature control between rooms.

  2. 2

    Single central AC system

Some larger villas and newer apartment blocks rely on one central system distributing cool air through ducts.

  3. 3

    Outdoor units on open roofs

Outdoor units in Al Salamah are usually mounted on open roofs because space is plentiful, making access and inspection straightforward.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Salamah

  1. 1

Tell us where each outdoor unit is located

If you have multiple outdoor units on the roof or in different spots, show us where so we bring the right tools.

  2. 2

Ensure the technician can safely reach the roof

Check that the stairs and roof are safe and clear of obstacles blocking access to the outdoor units before the visit day.

  3. 3

Have the house or building key ready

If the technician needs to enter an indoor room or central AC chamber, make sure the key or access is available at the visit time.

FAQ

Questions about HVAC & refrigeration technician

What does the technician bring on the visit?

The technician brings pressure gauges to check the refrigeration cycle, electrical meters to test the capacitor, relay and control board, and leak detection and flare joint tools. The exact kit depends on the fault description you give when you book.

Can the technician check the AC and the fridge in the same visit?

Yes. The technician covers both air conditioning and refrigeration, so if you have a faulty AC and a commercial fridge or cold unit at the same location he inspects both in one visit and explains the condition of each separately before any repair begins.

How does the technician explain the fault before any work begins?

The technician diagnoses the fault first, whether a failing capacitor, a deteriorated flare joint or a blocked drain line, then tells you what he found, what work is needed and which parts must be replaced. No work starts until you have approved what he has explained.

What happens if the repair needs a spare part?

After the inspection the technician names the part needed and explains why. If the part is available on site the repair is done in the same visit. If it has to be sourced first, he agrees a second visit with you. No replacement is started without your knowledge of what will be done.

Is the inspection for a split unit different from a ducted or cassette unit?

Yes. A split unit gives direct access to the coil, filter and flare joint. A ducted or cassette unit also needs the plenum, dampers and duct runs checked to confirm air is distributed correctly. The technician decides the inspection method after seeing the unit type and installation at your site.

I have several AC units in my villa, how do you pinpoint which one is faulty?

Our technician inspects each unit separately, checks airflow and pressures and listens for odd sounds, then tells you which one has the problem before any repair.

The villa roofs here are exposed, does that affect the outdoor units?

Direct sun and heat on exposed roofs in Al Salamah increase the load on outdoor units, so the coils and fans need regular checks to keep cooling efficient.

Does humidity and dust affect fridges and AC performance here?

Yes, coastal humidity and city dust accumulate on AC and fridge coils, reducing efficiency and airflow, so our regular checks keep performance steady.

Are the roofs safe to access the outdoor units in Al Salamah?

Most Al Salamah villas have safe, easy-to-reach roofs, but confirm the technician can access it safely before the visit, and let us know of any constraint.
