When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

  • Running a commercial fit-out that needs duct runs

We take your project drawings and produce numbered sections in batches matched to your site schedule, so the hanging crew is never waiting on supply.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Bawadi is a large central district sprawling widely with varied-size villas and dispersed apartment blocks, and the buildings sit well apart with broad streets. This spread means very long AC duct runs that need robust insulation to prevent cold loss in transit, and sealed joints to block outside moisture entry. Workshop-made ducts with precision sealing deliver higher efficiency and lower energy use over these long distances.

Al Bawadi lies in central Jeddah, a sprawling residential area with diverse villas and apartment blocks spread wide.

Most residential projects in Al Bawadi have AC duct runs longer than 50 metres from the central unit to the building or villa perimeter.

The AC setup in Al Bawadi

  1. 1

Long main trunks for spread-out villas

Large spread-out villas in Al Bawadi need very long main trunks with secondary branches distributed to separate wings.

  2. 2

Parallel distribution systems for large apartment blocks

Large apartment blocks built in Al Bawadi need parallel independent ducts for each building section to ensure even distribution.

  3. 3

Horizontal branches distributed along main corridors

Wide corridors in apartment blocks allow long horizontal branches without sharp bends that restrict airflow.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Bawadi

  1. 1

Prepare complete building plans and exact dimensions

A full plan helps us calculate each duct section length and the exact spacing between outlets.

  2. 2

Mark the central unit location and final distribution points

We need to know exactly where the main unit will sit and where the final outlets will be in each room or section.

  3. 3

Confirm entry route and available openings in ceiling or walls

Confirming the route for long duct sections and existing openings will ease installation and prevent delays.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Long duct runs in Al Bawadi cause cold loss, do manufactured ducts solve this?

Yes, complete insulation and sealing at every joint significantly reduces heat loss compared to on-site cutting, which leaves multiple small gaps.

Do Al Bawadi's wide streets make site access easier?

Yes, wide streets ease our team and equipment access, but we need to know in advance where the project gate and entry points are.

Does humidity enter through open duct joints?

Yes, in humid Jeddah, unsealed joints allow moisture entry that causes mould growth inside ducts; full sealing prevents this.

How do I determine the fan capacity for a large villa in Al Bawadi?

This depends on the number of rooms, outlets and duct length; send us the project plan on WhatsApp and we will specify the exact capacity needed.
