When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Mahjar is a rapidly developing district with new residential, hotel and large-scale commercial projects. These modern buildings need central ducts with known dimensions from the start, and any gaps in the joints cause cold-air leakage and moisture condensation in Jeddah's humid heat. Workshop manufacturing ensures numbered sections arrive ready to hang on the ceiling or run inside walls without on-site remeasuring.

Al Mahjar sits in south Jeddah, a district of large-scale modern residential and hotel development projects.

Most new projects here use central supply and return ducts feeding ceiling fans or air-handling units in a basement or service level.

The AC setup in Al Mahjar

  1. 1

Central supply and return trunk ducts

Modern Al Mahjar projects need unified main trunks (supply and return) connecting air-handling units to different building zones.

  2. 2

Branch sections feeding fans and outlets

After main assembly on-site, smaller branch ducts connect to ceiling fans and supply outlets in bedrooms and living areas.

  3. 3

Fully insulated sections with inner linings

Every duct arrives fully insulated with an acoustic inner lining, cutting noise and condensation in Jeddah's humid climate.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Mahjar

  1. 1

    Provide exact project drawings

Send us the project engineering drawings and required duct dimensions before we start manufacturing.

  2. 2

Confirm delivery dates aligned with the build schedule

Set a delivery date with us so sections arrive in time for installation without holding up the next construction phases.

  3. 3

Ensure storage and unloading space on-site

Check that the site has safe space to unload and store numbered sections before they are fitted to ceilings and walls.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

How do you stop cold-air leakage in large-scale projects?

We manufacture each section in the workshop to the project drawings with precision, seal every joint with Foster and insulate before delivery, so numbered sections arrive tight and ready to assemble.

Al Mahjar is always under construction; how do you handle project delays?

We agree a delivery schedule with the project supervisor before manufacturing, and numbered sections can be safely stored on-site if installation is delayed by other construction phases.

Does Jeddah's high humidity affect the insulation and sealing?

Yes, which is why we use professional Foster sealant on every joint to block moisture intrusion, and full insulation stops condensation forming on the duct outer surface.

Ducts are long; how do you transport them from the workshop to site?

We break ducts into numbered sections sized for the transport vehicle and site access, with each piece marked so assembly on-site is straightforward and error-free.
