When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Marj is a fast-growing district balancing spacious villas with residential blocks, with open roofs and regular interiors supporting unified central AC rather than scattered splits. Workshop-made ducts ensure even cold distribution across all rooms without the losses that site-cutting causes, and full insulation protects against the condensation that coastal humidity brings to ceilings and duct inner surfaces.

Al Marj is in north-east Jeddah, a fast-growing district with villas and residential blocks featuring spacious interiors.

Most new villas and blocks in Al Marj use manufactured unified ducts beneath ceilings or within parallel walls, requiring early measurement and precise calibration before final construction.

The AC setup in Al Marj

  1. 1

    Ducts in suspended ceiling voids

Modern villas and blocks in Al Marj provide space between the structural ceiling and suspended ceiling, which accommodates unified ducts comfortably and allows easy future maintenance.

  2. 2

Ducts in wall passages where needed

When inter-storey void is tight, ducts can be routed through passages within parallel walls, preserving space and architectural clean lines.

  3. 3

    Numbered sections for quick installation

Ducts are segmented at the workshop into lightweight numbered pieces, speeding installation and reducing clutter at the still-active construction site.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Marj

  1. 1

    Schedule measurement before ceiling completion

Call us before final ceilings or parallel walls are installed, so we can measure the available void and sketch precise routes.

  2. 2

Provide architectural plans to contractor and us

Share architectural plans before our visit so we understand the space layout and where the indoor units and zones are planned.

  3. 3

Confirm the agreed route with the contractor

After our measurement, confirm with the contractor the final duct route so it does not interfere with other trades or later finishes.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Our new villa's ducts aren't planned yet; how do you determine the measurements needed?

We visit before ceilings are finished, measure the inter-storey void and wall spaces, and sketch the duct routes based on the unit location, room count, and expected zones.

Al Marj roofs are open but some villas have limited private roof space; how do you route the ducts?

We use the suspended ceiling void or parallel wall passages instead of the roof when space is tight, after precise measurement and agreement with the contractor on the best route.

Is full insulation mandatory or optional?

In Jeddah's humid climate, full insulation is essential to prevent condensation on the duct's inner surface and the ceiling and walls around it, especially in newly built villas and blocks.

Can you measure and deliver on schedule with the construction timeline?

Yes, we coordinate with the contractor and engineer to measure the space at the right time before final ceilings, and manufacture the sections to the agreed schedule.
