When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Sabeel is a dense district of mid-rise apartment buildings with some ground-floor shops, and the blocks here are relatively newer but have higher ceilings and wider hallways than Al Balad. Humidity and heat mean any duct leak cuts efficiency fast, so precise workshop fabrication spares you on-site adjustments and heat loss.

Al Sabeel is in central Jeddah, a district of mid-rise apartment blocks laid out on a regular street grid.

Most central AC projects in Al Sabeel use relatively large plenum ducts because the apartment blocks have higher ceilings and wider spaces.

The AC setup in Al Sabeel

  1. 1

Large plenum ducts for apartment blocks

Apartment blocks in Al Sabeel need relatively large plenum cavities to distribute air evenly across multiple residential units on one floor.

  2. 2

Insulated ducts for corridors and ceilings

Corridor and ceiling ducts are made with full insulation to protect against condensation and heat loss in the humid environment.

  3. 3

Sections numbered by floor and unit

Each section gets a number reflecting its location, so duct installation in a large project happens precisely without mix-up.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Sabeel

  1. 1

    Bring project specs and drawings

If you have architectural drawings of the block showing ceilings and corridors, send them before measurement to speed up planning.

  2. 2

Coordinate with building management for access

Confirm with building management that our measurement team can access all floors and ceilings without delay.

  3. 3

Identify indoor unit locations and outlets

Show us where the indoor unit will go on each floor and where the cold-air outlets will be in each residential unit.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

My apartment block is relatively new, can you fabricate ducts for the whole project?

Yes, we take specs for each floor and manufacture complete ducts for all units, with every section numbered by floor and location.

The building has high ceilings, can you fit larger ducts without problems?

The high ceilings in Al Sabeel are an advantage, allowing larger-diameter ducts that distribute cooling evenly without constricting the run or losing pressure.

Is full duct insulation necessary in Al Sabeel with high humidity?

Yes, we insulate all ducts fully to reduce condensation and heat loss, especially if they run through unconditioned spaces or near outer walls.

How many numbered sections would I have for more than 10 residential units?

Each residential unit gets its own set of numbered ducts by floor and position, so installation happens without confusion or remeasuring.
