Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

  • Renovating home AC and need fittings to match old duct

We measure the existing ductwork in your home and fabricate the branches, transitions and elbows needed to match the original duct without replacing the whole network.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Ma'rifah is experiencing rapid development with large residential projects, luxury villas and commercial complexes, all needing extensive AC systems and long duct networks running through building and villa ceilings. On-site cutting cannot match the precision and complexity these large projects demand, so workshop fabrication ensures strict standards and perfect fit between all parts.

Al Ma'rifah lies in north Jeddah and is undergoing rapid development with large residential projects, villas and extensive central AC systems.

Most new projects in Al Ma'rifah use complex multi-branch ductwork linking several indoor and outdoor units in the same system.

The AC setup in Al Ma'rifah

  1. 1

Unified central ductwork for large projects

Large residential projects in Al Ma'rifah need a single unified duct network serving multiple buildings from one or more outdoor units.

  2. 2

Branching duct for luxury multi-storey villas

Luxury villas in Al Ma'rifah are often large and multi-storey, needing complex duct with multiple branches and transitions to cover all wings and rooms.

  3. 3

High-performance round duct for large systems

Large systems in commercial complexes and hotels in Al Ma'rifah use round duct for higher efficiency and better airflow.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Ma'rifah

  1. 1

    Gather the complete engineering drawings

Before the visit, make sure you have the complete engineering drawings including ceilings and planned duct routes.

  2. 2

Coordinate with the project team on timelines and phases

Agree with the project manager on when duct needs to be ready and which phases will have duct installation on site.

  3. 3

    Identify storage and site access

Designate a storage area for the fabricated duct and ensure safe access for long duct runs from storage to the site through project gates.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Do you work with contractors on large projects in Al Ma'rifah?

Yes, we work with project teams and contractors on duct specifications and production schedules. We take engineering drawings and fabricate duct to match the installation timeline.

Al Ma'rifah projects are large with hundreds of metres of sectioned duct, how do you ensure all parts fit together?

We fabricate all duct sections from unified drawings and apply strict standard dimensions to sizes, angles and joints to ensure perfect fit during installation.

Does the coastal humidity and heat in Al Ma'rifah affect duct durability?

Galvanized duct has a protective coating that resists moisture and rust. Aluminium is also a strong choice in coastal areas because it does not oxidise.

Can you fabricate flexible duct alongside rigid duct in the same project?

We fabricate rigid rectangular and round duct in the workshop. Flexible duct is usually installed as a finish stage on site, but we coordinate with you to align both types.
