Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Naseem is a relatively modern district with tall residential towers and large tower complexes, each needing a unified central ductwork covering dozens of units across many floors. This demands very high fabrication precision, as even small joint or diameter defects will affect air distribution in dozens of apartments. Workshop fabrication from accurate drawings ensures completely airtight joints and correct engineering calculations, boosting efficiency and reducing operational and maintenance problems.

Al Naseem, in central Jeddah, is a modern district of tall residential buildings and large tower complexes.

Central systems here serve dozens of units, with highly complex ductwork featuring multiple branches and splits spanning several floors and wings.

The AC setup in Al Naseem

  1. 1

Unified ductwork network for large residential building

Large residential buildings need ductwork from one central unit with main and secondary branches covering multiple floors.

  2. 2

Duct with separate outlets per flat or unit

Each flat needs its own outlet with independent temperature control, demanding very high fabrication precision.

  3. 3

Duct with complex branches for multiple wings

Large towers often have east and west wings, needing separate, balanced branches for each.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Naseem

  1. 1

Bring full architectural drawings for the building

Comprehensive floor plans and exact dimensions help us fabricate duct with maximum efficiency and precision.

  2. 2

Locate the main unit and desired outlets

Show the main unit location in basement or roof, and specify which floors and flats need separate outlets.

  3. 3

Confirm duct routes and available spaces

Confirm that vertical and horizontal shafts and false ceilings allow duct passage without major obstacles.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

The building is very large with dozens of flats, does the duct distribute air evenly?

Yes, we fabricate ductwork with balanced outlets for each floor and unit, with engineering calculations ensuring even distribution.

The residential towers have complex shapes, how does duct reach everywhere?

We measure the towers completely and fabricate duct with complex bends and precise offsets matching the architectural design.

There are many floors, does the duct withstand pressure and heat?

We use adequately thick galvanised steel or strong aluminium, both withstanding pressure and heat safely in large systems.

Can duct be expanded or modified later if new towers are added?

Yes, new branches or outlets can be added later, but precise initial planning minimises the need for future modifications.
