Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?
- 1
A contractor with project-specific sizes
Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.
- 2
Fittings too awkward to cut on site
Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.
- 3
Extending or renovating an existing duct network
You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.
Who it's for
Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes
We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

What the fabrication covers
- Site measure or drawings
- G90 or aluminium duct
- Elbows transitions and takeoffs
- Tight seams to SMACNA
- Labelled sections ready to hang
How we work
How we work
- 1
Take measurements
A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.
- 2
Fabricate sections and fittings
We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.
- 3
Label and prepare for delivery
We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.
- 4
Deliver to site
We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.
Workshop fabrication or site cutting?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensional accuracy | Workshop machines, tight dims | Hand variation on site |
| Complex fittings | Correct elbows and transitions | Distorted, leaking air |
| Seam quality | Tight lock, low leakage | Gaps weaken pressure |
| Site schedule | Arrives ready to hang | Extra time and site noise |
| Salt and humidity | Aluminium where site demands | One sheet regardless |

What sets this district apart
Al Thaghr is an active industrial and commercial zone with large warehouses, logistics hubs and light factories featuring wide open spaces and high ceilings, demanding robust cooling systems with industrial-grade duct to handle heavy airflow. On-site fabrication cannot achieve the thickness and strength required, whereas workshop fabrication from heavy-gauge galvanized metal delivers durable duct that withstands high air pressure and harsh industrial conditions.
Al Thaghr lies south Jeddah, an industrial and commercial zone with large warehouses and expansive open spaces.
Most warehouses and commercial centres here need thick round or rectangular duct rated for high air pressure to cool very large open areas.
The AC setup in Al Thaghr
- 1
Heavy-gauge round duct for expansive open areas
Warehouses and logistics hubs need heavy-gauge round duct with large diameter to distribute massive airflow volumes under high pressure.
- 2
Multiple evenly-spaced distribution outlets
Large areas need evenly-spaced outlets to avoid hot spots and ensure uniform cooling throughout the warehouse.
- 3
Standard modular joints for future modifications
Fabricated duct arrives with standard modular joints allowing new sections to be added or the network reconfigured as the warehouse expands.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Thaghr
- 1
Obtain an accurate floor plan of the warehouse
Before the visit, provide a detailed floor plan showing dimensions, ceiling height, columns and the main unit location.
- 2
Clarify cooling priorities and required outlet locations
Identify which sections need priority cooling and the exact location of every outlet so we design the duct network efficiently.
- 3
Arrange safe access to roof and overhead spaces
Warehouses may need duct installed at height, ensure safe scaffolding or ladders are available for the team before the visit day.

FAQ
Questions about Duct fabrication
Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?
Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.
What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?
G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.
Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?
Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.
How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?
Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.
Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?
Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.
Our warehouse is huge, can your duct handle cooling such a large space?
We fabricate heavy-gauge galvanized duct in diameter or dimensions matched to the space size and airflow demand, with evenly spaced distribution outlets.
Our industrial environment has heavy dust and particulates, does that damage metal duct?
Galvanized duct resists dust and industrial conditions, and precise measurements with tight joints minimise internal contamination.
How do you ensure duct withstands high air pressure?
We fabricate duct from heavy-gauge metal to industrial standards, selecting diameter and thickness based on fan power and airflow rate.
The warehouse may need expanded ducting later, can it be modified easily?
Workshop-fabricated duct comes with standard regular joints, making it straightforward to add new sections or modify the run if needed.
