Dedicated duct workshop
Duct fabrication in Al Widad
In Al Widad, east Jeddah, where large villas and multi-wing residential blocks stand on spacious plots, central AC calls for a complex, balanced duct network. We fabricate duct precisely in our workshop from site measurements or drawings to ensure even air distribution with no loss.

Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?
- 1
A contractor with project-specific sizes
Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.
- 2
Fittings too awkward to cut on site
Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.
- 3
Extending or renovating an existing duct network
You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.
Who it's for
Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes
We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

What the fabrication covers
- Site measure or drawings
- G90 or aluminium duct
- Elbows transitions and takeoffs
- Tight seams to SMACNA
- Labelled sections ready to hang
How we work
How we work
- 1
Take measurements
A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.
- 2
Fabricate sections and fittings
We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.
- 3
Label and prepare for delivery
We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.
- 4
Deliver to site
We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.
Workshop fabrication or site cutting?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensional accuracy | Workshop machines, tight dims | Hand variation on site |
| Complex fittings | Correct elbows and transitions | Distorted, leaking air |
| Seam quality | Tight lock, low leakage | Gaps weaken pressure |
| Site schedule | Arrives ready to hang | Extra time and site noise |
| Salt and humidity | Aluminium where site demands | One sheet regardless |

What sets this district apart
Al Widad holds large villas with high ceilings, long corridors and separate wings, so central AC needs carefully designed duct to balance cooling across different zones. Workshop fabrication lets us calculate the right diameters, transitions and offsets based on each section's length and unit capacity, so every bend and take-off arrives precisely made and numbered for installation. When the duct reaches the site, it is ready to hang and connect with no cutting or adjustments needed.
Al Widad lies in east Jeddah, a district of spacious villas and residential blocks with multiple wings on wide plots.
Most large villas here choose central duct with one main trunk splitting into smaller branches for each wing or floor.
The AC setup in Al Widad
- 1
Central duct with main trunk and multiple branches
Large villas here need a main duct from the unit splitting into smaller branches for each wing or floor.
- 2
Lightweight aluminium for long branches
Long branches running through corridors and ceilings are made from lighter-weight aluminium to ease ceiling installation.
- 3
Balanced diameters for even air spread
We calculate each branch diameter based on the number of vents and rooms it serves, to ensure air reaches every point at equal pressure.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Widad
- 1
Measure spaces and corridors on each floor
Before the visit, measure the width and height of corridors and spaces where the duct will run, and give us the dimensions.
- 2
Mark the outdoor unit and distribution plan
Tell us where the outdoor unit will sit and how you want the branches distributed, and how many rooms the duct will serve.
- 3
Ensure clear access for duct sections
Check that doors and corridors can fit the fabricated duct sections assembled, or we have a safe passage for transport and installation.

FAQ
Questions about Duct fabrication
Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?
Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.
What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?
G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.
Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?
Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.
How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?
Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.
Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?
Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.
My villa has separate wings, can you fabricate duct that balances cooling between them?
Yes, we calculate the main duct diameter and branches based on the number of wings and each one's area, so cooling reaches evenly throughout.
The corridors in my villa are long and sometimes narrow, will the prefabricated duct fit?
We measure the corridors and available spaces on each floor, and fabricate the duct to fit the width and height exactly.
How much duct length can you deliver and install in one visit?
We plan delivery and installation based on the total system size, and may split it over visits if it is very complex.
Do you solve air-loss issues between duct sections in older villas?
Yes, workshop-fabricated duct arrives with tight joints and no gaps, and if there is old duct we replace it with new.
