When does a factory need a specialist system?

  1. 1

    Machine heat exhausting the workers

Compressors, motors and furnaces push out steady heat that scattered split units cannot handle. We assess every heat source on site and design a system that removes that heat and delivers cooled air precisely where people work.

  2. 2

A high roof that traps hot air

Hot air rises and collects under the roof while workers suffer at floor level. Evaporator positions, airflow angles and unit sizing all depend on the ceiling height and building shape, and the site survey decides each of these.

  3. 3

    Production dust destroying equipment

In wood, metal and plastic factories, coarse dust enters units and damages compressors and coils. We select equipment suited to industrial environments and design air paths that separate cooling air from contaminated process air wherever possible.

Who it's for

  • Building a new factory that needs HVAC

We join at design stage to fix unit positions, duct routes and extraction before the roof is cast and machines are installed, so the system is built into the structure from the start.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Industrial site survey

Our team visits the factory during operation to measure actual heat from machines, map worker zones and critical processes, record ceiling heights and identify possible duct routes.

  2. 2

    System design

We design central plant, distributed units or a combination to suit the factory, and fix the positions of extraction and ventilation units, duct sizes and damper locations before you approve the work.

  3. 3

    Fabrication and installation

We fabricate duct in our own workshop from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, mount units and insulate pipework with Armaflex and Kimmco materials.

  4. 4

    Commissioning and scheduled maintenance

We commission the system, check airflow distribution, refrigerant pressure and damper balance, then set up a preventive and corrective maintenance contract timed to fit around your production shifts.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Tilal is an expanding industrial zone east of Jeddah with diverse factories for furniture, clothing, and electronics with very high ceilings and complex production lines. Heat here is seasonal, extreme in summer and milder in winter, and desert dust from surrounding terrain penetrates filters faster than in coastal zones. We design cooling systems that adapt to seasonal swings and fit heavy-duty, quick-clean filters, with even air distribution to avoid hot spots under high ceilings.

Al Tilal sits in Jeddah's expanding industrial east, a diverse manufacturing zone with very high ceilings and dry desert dust in the air.

Most Al Tilal factories need central cooling units with quick-clean filters because of heavy dry dust.

The AC setup in Al Tilal

  1. 1

    Central cooling with multi-stage filters

Al Tilal's large factories with high ceilings need a powerful central unit with multi-stage filters to handle heavy desert dust and seasonal swings.

  2. 2

    Distributed outlets with destratification fans

Very high ceilings need outlets at multiple points with destratification fans that push cold air downward to the floor where machines and workers operate.

  3. 3

Adaptive smart thermostat for seasonal changes

We install smart controls that adjust power output based on seasonal temperatures, lowering consumption in winter while maintaining efficiency in summer.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Tilal

  1. 1

Send a complete floor map of production lines and high ceilings

Send a diagram or photo showing ceiling heights in metres, heavy machine locations, and areas needing extra cooling during peak production.

  2. 2

Designate condenser and outdoor unit placement

Condensers need a cool, sunny location away from production lines, and ensure the spot is safe with good ventilation around the units.

  3. 3

Coordinate installation timing with production schedule

Installation may require temporary shutdown or off-hours work, so agree with management on the best timing to minimise production impact.

FAQ

Questions about Factory HVAC

Can you cool just the worker zones without cooling the whole factory?

Yes, and we do it often. We design spot cooling for workstations or worker walkways using independent units or directed duct runs, rather than trying to cool the entire building volume. The right approach depends on the site and the process, and the survey decides it.

How do you handle heavy industrial dust in Jeddah?

We select units with a protection rating suited to the industrial environment and route airflow away from dust sources where the layout allows. In scheduled maintenance we inspect and clean coils, compressors and filters before deposits build up and affect unit performance.

Do you fabricate the large ducts a factory needs?

Yes, in our own workshop we fabricate round and rectangular duct to any size the design calls for, from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, including plenums, transitions and dampers needed to control air distribution.

Can you do maintenance between production shifts?

Yes, when we set up the preventive maintenance contract we agree times that fit your production schedule, whether between shifts or on rest days. The aim is that production lines are never stopped because of maintenance work.

What is the difference between process ventilation and worker-zone air conditioning?

Process ventilation targets heat and fumes produced by machinery and production lines, using exhaust fans and calculated fresh-air inlets sized to the heat load at each source. Worker-zone air conditioning aims to maintain a tolerable temperature at floor level without cooling the full volume of the building. A site survey of each factory decides which approach fits each area.

Desert dust clogs filters fast, how do you handle that?

We install heavy-duty multi-stage filters with easy-access panels and recommend weekly cleaning during dust season, with routine checks to ensure airflow stays clear.

Extreme summer heat differs greatly from winter, does the system adapt to seasonal swings?

We install smart thermostats that adjust cooling output based on interior and exterior temperatures, cutting power consumption in winter while maintaining efficiency in summer.

Your ceilings are very high, does the cold air reach the floor where workers and machines sit?

We carefully study air distribution and install outlets spread across the high ceiling, using destratification fans if needed to ensure even delivery to the floor.

Can the system handle heavy production testing in summer?

We test condensers and electrical cabinets at peak summer loads before installation, building in extra safety margin to prevent overstress or sudden failure.
