When does a factory need a specialist system?

  1. 1

    Machine heat exhausting the workers

Compressors, motors and furnaces push out steady heat that scattered split units cannot handle. We assess every heat source on site and design a system that removes that heat and delivers cooled air precisely where people work.

  2. 2

A high roof that traps hot air

Hot air rises and collects under the roof while workers suffer at floor level. Evaporator positions, airflow angles and unit sizing all depend on the ceiling height and building shape, and the site survey decides each of these.

  3. 3

    Production dust destroying equipment

In wood, metal and plastic factories, coarse dust enters units and damages compressors and coils. We select equipment suited to industrial environments and design air paths that separate cooling air from contaminated process air wherever possible.

Who it's for

  • Building a new factory that needs HVAC

We join at design stage to fix unit positions, duct routes and extraction before the roof is cast and machines are installed, so the system is built into the structure from the start.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Industrial site survey

Our team visits the factory during operation to measure actual heat from machines, map worker zones and critical processes, record ceiling heights and identify possible duct routes.

  2. 2

    System design

We design central plant, distributed units or a combination to suit the factory, and fix the positions of extraction and ventilation units, duct sizes and damper locations before you approve the work.

  3. 3

    Fabrication and installation

We fabricate duct in our own workshop from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, mount units and insulate pipework with Armaflex and Kimmco materials.

  4. 4

    Commissioning and scheduled maintenance

We commission the system, check airflow distribution, refrigerant pressure and damper balance, then set up a preventive and corrective maintenance contract timed to fit around your production shifts.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Kinanah is a growing industrial zone with light and medium factories, relatively high ceilings and varied designs, some in modern buildings with strong electrical systems and others in older facilities with limited utility availability. Heat comes from machinery and light to medium processes, requiring designs that balance performance with existing building capacity. The system accounts for varied building quality between new and older structures and available space for outdoor units, with a practical maintenance schedule.

Kinanah lies in east Jeddah as a growing industrial zone of light and medium factories with relatively high ceilings.

Factories in Kinanah use central cooling units of varied capacity depending on the building and production type, with outdoor units mounted on roofs or side walls based on available space.

The AC setup in Kinanah

  1. 1

Central system of varied capacity per building

Factories in Kinanah vary in size and age, so we select units of capacity matched to each building and its specific production.

  2. 2

    Exhaust ventilation for light fumes

Factories with light fumes pair the main system with an exhaust ventilation setup to effectively remove contaminants outside.

  3. 3

Outdoor units on roofs and walls based on available space

Outdoor units mount on roofs or side walls depending on available space and required ambient airflow direction.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Kinanah

  1. 1

Check electrical status and available circuits

Locate electrical panels and available circuit capacity to understand electrical load before accurately designing the system.

  2. 2

Document heat sources and production processes

Identify machinery, furnaces and fume or dust-producing processes to design ventilation matching your actual needs.

  3. 3

Identify options for outdoor unit installation

Examine available roof and side wall space, selecting the best location offering good ambient ventilation and future maintenance access.

FAQ

Questions about Factory HVAC

Can you cool just the worker zones without cooling the whole factory?

Yes, and we do it often. We design spot cooling for workstations or worker walkways using independent units or directed duct runs, rather than trying to cool the entire building volume. The right approach depends on the site and the process, and the survey decides it.

How do you handle heavy industrial dust in Jeddah?

We select units with a protection rating suited to the industrial environment and route airflow away from dust sources where the layout allows. In scheduled maintenance we inspect and clean coils, compressors and filters before deposits build up and affect unit performance.

Do you fabricate the large ducts a factory needs?

Yes, in our own workshop we fabricate round and rectangular duct to any size the design calls for, from G90 galvanised or aluminium sheet to SMACNA standards, including plenums, transitions and dampers needed to control air distribution.

Can you do maintenance between production shifts?

Yes, when we set up the preventive maintenance contract we agree times that fit your production schedule, whether between shifts or on rest days. The aim is that production lines are never stopped because of maintenance work.

What is the difference between process ventilation and worker-zone air conditioning?

Process ventilation targets heat and fumes produced by machinery and production lines, using exhaust fans and calculated fresh-air inlets sized to the heat load at each source. Worker-zone air conditioning aims to maintain a tolerable temperature at floor level without cooling the full volume of the building. A site survey of each factory decides which approach fits each area.

My factory is fairly old, can you install a new central AC system?

Yes, we inspect the electrical structure and existing load, then design a system suited to the building's capacity, possibly requiring electrical circuit upgrades or selecting lower capacity balancing performance with stability.

The ceilings are high but roof space is limited, where should we place the outdoor unit?

We visit and inspect roof and side wall options, selecting the best location that offers good ambient ventilation and easy maintenance access.

The production process creates light fumes, how do you handle them?

We design a separate exhaust system running parallel to the main cooling, drawing fumes and contaminants outside while maintaining balanced indoor air pressure.

When does the AC system need deep cleaning and filter replacement?

We recommend checking filters monthly and cleaning or replacing as needed, plus deep cleaning of ducts and coils every six months minimum depending on production intensity.
