When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Al Atheer is a growing commercial district with food shops, cafés and small-to-large restaurants, many in ground-floor retail within residential buildings. Fridges here face intense use because shops stay open long hours and customers open the door repeatedly, raising strain on the compressor and fan. We inspect the gasket, condenser coil and compressor because rapid grease and dust build-up slows cooling fast.

Al Atheer lies in south Jeddah, a busy commercial zone packed with food shops, restaurants and diverse cafés.

Most restaurants and shops here use separate display fridges or large storage units with capacities between 200 and 600 litres.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

My shop fridge cools but the compressor won't shut off, what's wrong?

A compressor that won't stop usually signals a condenser coil clogged with grease and dust. We inspect the coil and fan and clean them with cold-pressure jets to restore cooling efficiency.

The shop is tight and the fridge is in a corner, can you fix it in place?

Yes, we service most fridges in place, but we need to ensure there is enough space between the unit and walls for air to flow around the condenser coil.

My shop is near the coast with high humidity, does that hurt the fridge?

Yes, high humidity speeds up dirt build-up on the coil and fan, and corrodes metal parts faster. We recommend more frequent cleaning cycles to keep performance steady.

How often should I clean the fridge before it needs professional servicing?

Quick external cleaning weekly or fortnightly helps, but the coil and fan need professional inspection every 3 to 4 months depending on use intensity and local conditions.
