When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Al Mawj is a fast-growing commercial zone with food shops, small restaurants and cafés packed into relatively modern streets. Commercial fridges here are under high stress because running hours are long and summer heat is intense, accelerating grease build-up on the condenser and straining the fan. Regular maintenance is essential to prevent stock loss if temperature climbs quickly.

Al Mawj lies in south Jeddah, a modern commercial zone of food shops, small restaurants and closely spaced cafés.

Most shops here use front-glass display fridges or under-counter storage units, both needing regular condenser cleaning.

The AC setup in Al Mawj

  1. 1

    Front-glass display fridges

Most food shops and cafés here rely on front-glass display fridges to attract customers, requiring regular intensive condenser cleaning because high outdoor temperatures strain the compressor.

  2. 2

    Under-counter storage fridges

Small restaurants and cafés use compact storage fridges built under counters, where tight space around the condenser limits airflow and speeds dust buildup.

  3. 3

Separate ice-box units at the rear

Some larger shops have a separate ice-box unit at the rear, requiring regular inspection of the fan motor and flexible seals.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Mawj

  1. 1

Confirm access to the outdoor condenser

Most condensers sit at the rear or on the shop's external wall. Let us know beforehand if access is restricted or needs the building owner's coordination.

  2. 2

Clear space around the fridge unit

Remove any boxes or items around the fridge or its outdoor condenser to allow easy inspection of the fan, tubes and seals.

  3. 3

    Schedule a short closure window

In food shops and restaurants, inspection takes 30 to 45 minutes. Set a time you can briefly close the fridge or accept the team working between customers.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

I run a small restaurant here; how often should I service the fridge yearly?

It depends on the fridge type and your daily running hours, but in Al Mawj's intense summer heat and long working days, we recommend a check at least every three months. Send a photo on WhatsApp and we'll suggest the right maintenance schedule.

Our street is quite narrow; can you bring the service equipment in?

Yes, our team carries the essential service tools by hand. Let us know beforehand if there are parking limits or restricted access to the fridge from behind.

The fridge loses temperature during peak hours in summer; what is usually the cause?

In Al Mawj's extreme summer heat, the usual cause is grease clogging the outdoor condenser, cutting cooling efficiency, followed by worn door gaskets letting cold air escape. Regular cleaning prevents this.

Is there an electrical fault if the fridge keeps cutting on and off?

The cause could be electrical or mechanical. A clogged condenser or tired compressor triggers thermal shut-offs. Our team inspects the compressor, condenser and circuit in one visit to find the real cause.
