When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Al Zahra is a mixed commercial and residential zone near the waterfront, home to tourist hotels, restaurants and diverse food shops. High coastal humidity and intense heat cause faster wear in fridge parts, especially the compressor and copper lines. Shops and hotels here need regular preventive servicing to maintain fridge performance under high seasonal load.

Al Zahra sits in west Jeddah near the coast and is a well-known waterfront commercial and hotel zone.

Most fridges here are various-sized display and storage units in hotels and restaurants on waterfront facades with direct exposure to humid air.

The AC setup in Al Zahra

  1. 1

    Display fridges on waterfront facades

Shops and restaurants on the coast put display fridges directly on facades to show drinks and fish, exposed to direct humidity.

  2. 2

    Storage fridges in hotel kitchens

Tourist hotels have large storage fridges in kitchens, more protected but under very heavy workload.

  3. 3

    Multiple adjacent fridge systems

Some large beachfront restaurants have rows of fridges at different temperatures, needing coordinated servicing for each unit.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Zahra

  1. 1

Check seals and copper lines before the visit

If you see visible rust or corrosion on the lines or seals, photograph the area and send it to us before the visit so we can bring spare parts.

  2. 2

Coordinate with staff not to use the fridge

Tell the restaurant or shop team the fridge will be serviced at the appointed time, and they may need to use a backup unit temporarily.

  3. 3

Ensure safe access to the condenser

Condensers on waterfront facades may be high or in tight spots. Check that our team can reach them safely without hazards.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

Our fridge is close to the sea and has rust and corrosion, is this dangerous?

Yes, coastal salt and humidity cause rust in the copper lines and iron parts. We inspect the lines and condenser and replace any corroded part before it causes a leak.

The hotel is in a busy tourist area, how do we stop the fridge for servicing?

We work with tourist hotels on flexible servicing schedules. We come during closing or quiet hours (usually after lunch), or arrange a temporary backup fridge if needed round the clock.

Humidity is very high here and I am worried about mould and bacteria in the fridge?

Humidity speeds bacterial and mould growth in lines and drains. We clean the condenser, fans and drain on every service, and check the fridge's internal seals.

The fridge is expensive and I am afraid salt air will ruin it, how important is preventive maintenance?

Highly important. Monthly or fortnightly servicing catches corrosion early and stops it before major failure. Far better than replacing the whole unit.
