When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Prince Abdulmajeed has a high concentration of restaurants, bakeries and diverse food shops, many working from small spaces at very high capacity. Fridges here face intense pressure: fans running non-stop in extreme heat, and coils clogged fast by flour, grease and dust. Preventive maintenance and quick checks at the first heat sign protect fridge efficiency and stock.

The area lies in south Jeddah, a mixed commercial and residential district with strong concentration of restaurants, bakeries and varied food shops.

Most restaurants and bakeries here run larger-capacity units with external coils exposed to heavy daily cooking dust and grease.

The AC setup in Prince Abdulmajeed

  1. 1

    High-capacity units for restaurants

Restaurants in the area use large-capacity units with robust external coils, but these are prone to rapid grease and flour buildup.

  2. 2

    Butcher and poultry display fridges

Butcher and poultry shops need robust display units with strong gaskets, requiring careful seal checks to prevent cold leakage.

  3. 3

    Bakery storage and proofing units

Bakeries use specialised storage and proofing units, and their coils need careful cleaning due to flour dust and high humidity.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Prince Abdulmajeed

  1. 1

Tell us the exact fridge location and access

In restaurants and bakeries, fridges are often in tight rooms or back areas. Tell us the exact location and whether there's adequate workspace.

  2. 2

Schedule away from peak service times

Restaurants and bakeries are busy at set times. Agree on a morning or off-peak slot so service and sales are not disrupted.

  3. 3

    Confirm the fridge's electrical safety

Check that the cable and plug are safe and voltage is stable before the visit, especially in restaurants where many appliances run at once.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

My bakery uses the fridge heavily every day, how often should I have it checked?

In a busy area like Prince Abdulmajeed with heavy daily use, we recommend monthly checks at minimum to confirm coil and fan cleanliness and compressor function.

My shop is packed next to others, how do you service the fridge without shutting me down?

We schedule around your operating hours to minimise disruption. Most routine maintenance takes just a few hours, and we coordinate with neighbouring shops if needed.

Flour dust from the bakery clogs the fridge fast, is this normal?

Yes, flour and baking grease clog condenser coils much faster than other environments. We clean the coils with extra care and inspect the fans on every maintenance visit.

The fridge is close to the hot kitchen stove, does that hurt its efficiency?

Yes, direct heat from the kitchen significantly increases strain on the coils and compressor. We recommend good airflow around the fridge and regular checks to confirm coil health and performance.
