When your freezer needs attention
- 1
The freezer is not freezing hard
Products feel soft or partly thawed even though the freezer is running. The cause may be the thermostat, the compressor, the refrigerant charge or the temperature sensor circuit. A site diagnosis tells you which one needs fixing.
- 2
Ice building up and not defrosting
A thick ice layer on the freezer wall or evaporator points to a fault in the defrost cycle, whether in the defrost heater, timer or sensor. Left alone, the build-up strains the compressor and steadily raises electricity use.
- 3
A door that will not seal or a unit that keeps alarming
A worn door gasket lets warm humid air in constantly, building ice and pressing the compressor harder. We check the gasket, the door frame and the alarm switch to find the cause of repeated alarms and put it right.
Who it's for
Your home freezer has stopped freezing hard
We diagnose the fault at your home, whether in the compressor, thermostat or door gasket, and advise you on keeping the contents safe while we work.
Ask on WhatsAppYour shop freezer is alarming and stock is at risk
We check the defrost cycle, door gasket and compressor at your shop, and give practical guidance on protecting frozen stock throughout the repair.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Describe the fault
Send us the freezer type, the fault you have noticed and your district, and we tell you what the technician will need before the visit.
- 2
On-site diagnosis
The technician checks the compressor, evaporator, defrost circuit and door gasket, then explains what he found and proposes the repair before starting any work.
- 3
Repair and reset
We fix the faulty part, reset the defrost cycle if needed, and test the freeze temperature and alarm after closing the unit.
- 4
Performance check and handover
We confirm the freezer reaches the right freeze temperature and the door closes tightly, then explain how to monitor performance over the next few days.
A proper repair or ignoring the fault?

What sets this district apart
Al Ain Al Aziziyah is a dense central district mixing apartment blocks, food shops, restaurants and bakeries, most running long hours. Freezers in these outlets carry very heavy demand, and dust and humidity from the busy street speed up dirt accumulation on coils and raise the compressor's strain. Regular maintenance is essential to stop excess ice build-up that cuts cooling efficiency and pushes up electricity bills.
Al Ain Al Aziziyah lies in central Jeddah, a dense mixed district of apartment blocks, food shops and busy restaurants.
Freezers here are typically large vertical or medium horizontal units installed inside the shop for quick access and daily display.
The AC setup in Al Ain Al Aziziyah
- 1
Large upright freezer at shop frontage
Restaurants and bakeries in Al Ain Al Aziziyah prefer large upright freezers by the entrance to showcase frozen products prominently.
- 2
Chest freezer in the back stockroom
Larger shops maintain a chest freezer in the back for bulk frozen storage away from customer areas.
- 3
Multiple small display units in restaurants
Some restaurants use several small freezers spread through the space to store different types of meat, poultry and fish.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Ain Al Aziziyah
- 1
Keep the freezer area clear
Make sure the team can access the back and top of the freezer and that no obstacles block cleaning and maintenance work.
- 2
Coordinate timing with shop or restaurant management
Tell the manager about the visit two days ahead, and if possible pick a time after service or before opening to avoid clashing with business.
- 3
Arrange temporary storage for contents
We may need to empty the freezer for full maintenance, so have a backup fridge or ice coolers ready to protect the contents.

FAQ
Questions about Freezer maintenance
Can the freezer be repaired without emptying it completely?
It depends on the fault. Checks on the compressor or an external sensor can be done without touching the contents. Repairs to the evaporator or defrost heater need the freezer emptied, and we tell you in advance and advise how to keep the stock in cool boxes while we work.
Why does my freezer compressor never stop running?
Three common causes: a worn door gasket letting warm air in, ice build-up on the evaporator reducing heat transfer, or low refrigerant. The technician checks all three during the visit and identifies the real cause before any repair.
Why does heavy frost keep building up inside my freezer even though the door closes properly?
The most common cause is a fault in the automatic defrost circuit, whether in the heater element, the timer or the temperature sensor. When this circuit fails, ice accumulates on the evaporator coil until airflow is blocked, cooling weakens and energy use rises. The technician identifies the exact cause by testing each component of the circuit in turn.
Do you service both chest and upright freezers?
Yes, we service both types in homes and shops. Chest and upright freezers share many components such as the compressor, evaporator and thermostat, but the defrost cycle design and coil position differ between them, and our technicians are trained to handle that difference in every case.
Does the freezer type, chest or upright, change how the repair is done?
Yes, in some steps. A chest freezer has the evaporator wrapped around the inner walls, while an upright has it at the back of the compartment with a fan. The position of the defrost heater and how to reach it differ between the two, so the technician needs to know the type before the visit to bring the right tools.
I notice thick ice build-up around the freezer, is that normal?
Excess ice points to a drainage issue or cold-air leak. We inspect drain lines and seals and clean coils to restore normal cooling.
My restaurant freezer runs day and night without stopping, what causes that?
Heavy demand from the restaurant's business may be the cause, but if the non-stop run persists, the compressor may be weak or refrigerant low. We measure pressure and temperature on site.
My shop is on the main street, does the heat affect my freezer?
Yes, outdoor heat, dust and humidity add strain to the condenser and compressor. We clean the condenser and coils every two months or as needed to maintain efficiency.
My electricity bill went up, is the freezer to blame?
A freezer running continuously or dirty coils can raise consumption significantly. We inspect coils, compressor and seals to pinpoint the issue.
