When a hotel needs a specialist
- 1
A new hotel or serviced apartments under construction
The right design starts before the ceilings are closed. We fix diffuser positions, duct routes and noise levels per room before finishing, so there is no costly breaking out or rerouting later.
- 2
Guests complaining about noise or smell
A loud fan coil, air whistling at a diffuser, or corridor smell entering the room when the door opens. These are diagnosable problems with a fix, after a site survey of the airflow.
- 3
Maintenance that disrupts hotel operations
A hotel never stops, and occupied rooms cannot accept a technician working through the night. We draw the maintenance plan with the hotel manager, using vacant rooms and quiet hours.
Who it's for
Opening a new hotel before fit-out is finished
We enter at the structural stage to fix duct routes and unit positions for every room before ceilings close, so you avoid costly changes later.
Ask on WhatsAppRunning an open hotel with ongoing guest complaints
We diagnose noise, odour and control faults in problem rooms and carry out repairs in vacant rooms without affecting staying guests.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Survey and design
We visit the site, study the drawings and expected occupancy, and decide the right system type for each zone: rooms, lobby, halls and corridors.
- 2
Fabrication and supply
We fabricate ducts in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to the site dimensions, and supply units from our authorised brands to the specifications the design sets.
- 3
Installation and sealing
We install units and ducts and test room noise levels before the ceilings close, using Armaflex and Kimmco insulation and Foster sealants to control condensation and air leakage.
- 4
Handover and maintenance plan
We commission the full system, verify individual control in every room, and hand hotel management a scheduled maintenance plan built around occupancy so guests are not disturbed.

What sets this district apart
Al Shifa mixes small multi-storey hotels with historic villas converted into flats or guest houses on medium plots with space between them. This diversity means each building has different needs: a ten-room hotel may need a small central heat pump, while a converted villa might use separate splits. We design case by case, siting outdoor units where they do not spoil facades or disturb neighbours.
Al Shifa sits in south Jeddah, an area mixing small hotels with older-style villas and apartment buildings.
Small hotels here are typically four to ten storeys, some using compact heat pumps instead of large central systems.
The AC setup in Al Shifa
- 1
Medium heat pump for small hotel
One medium-capacity heat pump serves four to eight rooms with zone thermostats in corridors.
- 2
Separate splits for converted villas
A converted villa uses separate split units per floor or flat, each with independent thermostats.
- 3
Outdoor units placed in rear courtyards
Outdoor units go in back courtyards or hidden sides, away from street frontages to preserve historic facades.

FAQ
Questions about Hotel HVAC
What unit type suits hotel guest rooms in Jeddah?
It depends on the building layout, number of floors and running-cost priorities. Fan coil units on a chilled-water system are common in larger hotels; serviced apartments often suit split or cassette units. The survey decides what fits, and both options are available through our authorised brands: Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold.
How do you handle Jeddah's humidity in corridors and shared areas?
Indoor corridors face humid outside air every time a door opens. We calculate the fresh-air volume for each zone and check that internal pressure stops warm, humid outside air from infiltrating. Ducts are insulated with Kimmco and Armaflex materials to stop condensation forming on the outside of the duct.
Can you service one room without cutting air conditioning to the rest of the floor?
In most systems designed for hotels, yes. Each unit or circuit serves a limited set of rooms and can be isolated on its own. We build this zoning into the design specifically so that neighbouring rooms stay live during any maintenance work, and the zoning is confirmed at the design stage before installation.
Do you work in the hotel while it is open to guests?
Yes, and we are familiar with coordinating around hotel operations. We agree in advance which rooms are set aside for maintenance, and we work at hours that avoid guest peak times. Any task that produces noise is reviewed with the hotel manager before it is scheduled.
How do you maintain stable room temperature when guests change and doors open frequently?
Frequent door opening upsets the pressure balance in a guest room and lets warm, humid corridor air in. We size each unit to the actual room dimensions, not the building as a whole, and balance the fresh-air supply against the return air for each room. A site survey determines the layout of individual controls and the dampers needed to isolate each room from corridor pressure changes.
Our small hotel does not need a huge central system, what is the alternative?
A single medium heat pump can serve fewer rooms, or separate splits per floor depending on hotel size and budget.
Our building is an old villa, can we install AC without spoiling the facade?
Yes, we study the original facade and place outdoor units on rear sides or in back courtyards where they are hidden from the street.
Our neighbours are close by, how do you reduce AC noise?
We choose low-noise outdoor units, install them on vibration-isolating bases, and coordinate with neighbours on unit placement before installation.
The old villa has weak electrical wiring, can it handle the AC?
We inspect the electrical circuit first, and if needed recommend upgrading the wire and breaker before installing the heat pump or units.
