Retail cooling without downtime
Mall & retail HVAC in Al Ghadeer
In Al Ghadeer, north Jeddah, modern shops and malls face high thermal loads from open doors, bright lighting and footfall. Proper HVAC installation maintains comfort and keeps stock dry throughout operating hours.

When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Ghadeer is a newly developing district mixing modern malls with small and medium retail shops spread across relatively open spaces. That means HVAC needs range from compact units for standalone shops to central systems for larger malls. Cooling here must be flexible and scalable, maintained at times that suit shop and mall operators.
Al Ghadeer is in north Jeddah, marked by modern building spaces and varied shop and mall layouts.
Al Ghadeer shops typically use medium-capacity split units or central HVAC depending on mall size.
The AC setup in Al Ghadeer
- 1
Medium-capacity split for standalone retail
Small and medium Al Ghadeer shops use 2, 3 ton splits balancing performance and efficiency.
- 2
Central HVAC for malls and large spaces
Large malls and distributed shops use central systems with suspended ducting and regular roof lines.
- 3
Outdoor units in concealed or organised locations
Outdoor units are mounted so they do not detract from the mall or shop's exterior appearance.

- 2
Tell us your preferred outdoor unit location
Say whether the roof is available or the unit must go on the side, and flag any constraints from mall management.
- 3
Agree on visit and installation timing
If the shop is new, schedule the visit after finishing main fitout work but before welcoming customers.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
My shop is new and no one knows its cooling needs, how do you help?
We visit, measure the space, doors, lighting and walls, then calculate the actual heat load and recommend the right system for your needs.
Our mall just finished construction, can you install HVAC before opening?
Yes, we work with builders and developers before official opening, designing and installing units quickly and safely, then testing them before guest arrival.
Al Ghadeer gets very hot in summer, is one unit enough for my shop?
It depends on the shop's footprint, door count and lighting, you may need one large unit or two smaller ones. Our site visit determines what works best.
The shop fitout is special, will the HVAC installation damage it?
We choose duct routes and outdoor unit placements carefully to match your fitout, coordinating everything before we start so the design stays intact.
