When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Harrah is a fast-growth district packed with modern retail shops, malls and large stores in contemporary buildings with high ceilings, wide spaces and big glass frontages. The load on HVAC systems here is intense: doors opening constantly, strong lighting and heavy foot traffic, especially at peak hours. The system must be powerful and reliable, never stopping because any downtime means big revenue loss and customers walk away. We install central systems with very high efficiency and programme tight maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns.
Al Harrah lies in north-east Jeddah, a rapidly growing district packed with modern malls and retail shops in spacious buildings.
Large retail stores and malls in Al Harrah run powerful central HVAC systems with very high capacities and smart controls (BMS) to ensure reliability and efficiency around the clock.
The AC setup in Al Harrah
- 1
Powerful central systems with multiple units
Large malls and stores in Al Harrah use several outdoor units linked to one central system, providing high power and reliability (if one fails, the rest keeps running).
- 2
Smart control system (BMS) with continuous monitoring
Systems here feature smart controls that monitor every unit continuously and alert immediately to any irregularity, enabling fast repairs.
- 3
Separate control zones per floor or section
Different mall floors are split into separate control zones, so each floor or major section is tuned to its actual heat load independent of other areas.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Harrah
- 1
Confirm locations for multiple outdoor units
For large malls needing multiple outdoor units, tell us where each goes (different roof areas, building sides, etc.) and which serves which part of the mall.
- 2
Provide detailed plans and drawings
Send us architectural drawings of the mall showing floors, sections and zones, so we can design the system and zones precisely.
- 3
Schedule regular maintenance before opening
We recommend full maintenance at least every three months before opening hours. Agree with us on a fixed schedule to keep the system at peak efficiency and prevent breakdown during busy times.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
Our mall is very large, do we need more than one outdoor unit?
Yes, large malls in Al Harrah typically need several outdoor units linked to one central system, so each carries part of the heat load and if one breaks, the rest keeps running.
We fear cooling failure during peak hours, what is the solution?
We install systems with smart controls (BMS) that monitor temperature and pressure continuously and alert us immediately to any issue. We schedule regular maintenance before opening to confirm everything runs properly, and build in backup components so the system never stops completely.
Different mall floors (ground, first, second) need different cooling, correct?
Yes, each floor may have different heat load because of lighting, foot traffic and glass frontages. We split the system into separate control zones per floor (or floor sections), so each is tuned to its actual needs.
How often should we clean or service the system per year?
In Al Harrah where the system is under heavy load, we recommend full maintenance at least every three months (filter cleaning, compressor checks, coolant line inspection). Between services, we monitor performance and respond quickly to any system alert.
