When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Huda is a modern, developed district with large residential towers and spacious commercial complexes on relatively open land. The malls and retail centres are newly built with high ceilings, robust electrical systems and good infrastructure, allowing for advanced central systems with complex ductwork and smart controls. Heat loads fluctuate sharply between morning and evening peaks and quieter afternoon hours, demanding systems with high flexibility.
Al Huda is in south Jeddah, a modern district with large residential and commercial projects, high ceilings and advanced infrastructure.
Most modern malls and retail centres in Al Huda run advanced central air systems with powerful air handlers, multi-floor ductwork distribution and smart multi-zone controls.
The AC setup in Al Huda
- 1
Multi-zone central air system
Modern Al Huda malls benefit from advanced central systems with separate air handlers per zone or floor and complex ductwork efficiently distributed.
- 2
High-capacity coils with strong dehumidification
High coastal humidity demands large-capacity cooling coils and separate dehumidification coils during humid periods.
- 3
Smart multi-zone control panel
The smart control reads multiple temperatures and automatically regulates compressors, fans and valves for minimum consumption and maximum comfort.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Huda
- 1
Schedule the visit during off-hours or light traffic
Large malls stay busy all day, so schedule during pre-opening, post-closing or light periods to minimise disruption.
- 2
Share the plant room and main ductwork layout
Send us a clear floor plan showing the plant room location, main ducts, roofs and space available for installation and maintenance access.
- 3
Verify electrical capacity and backup generators
Tell us about the main panel capacity, any existing backup generators and their location, so we can design connections safely and efficiently.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
Our mall is huge and shared between several owners, how do you handle separate power bills?
We fit separate electrical meters per mall section, and design smart controls that allocate consumption per owner based on time periods and actual usage.
Heat loads vary greatly from morning to evening, how do you manage this?
We fit an advanced control system reading temperatures from dozens of sensors throughout the mall, automatically adjusting airflow and compressor speed to match real-time load.
Coastal humidity is intense and the mall has food courts and water play areas, how do you prevent moisture buildup?
We select high-dehumidification cooling coils and clean weekly, install multiple floor drains in moisture-prone areas, and schedule monthly preventive maintenance cycles.
We want uninterrupted cooling even in power cuts, do you support solar or battery backup?
We do not install solar or battery systems directly, but we design with adequate capacity and ensure safe wiring, recommending you fit a backup generator with standard connection points for the system.
