When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?

| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Rawasi is a mixed commercial zone with medium shops, covered markets and open gaps between blocks, and many shops have glass fronts exposed to direct midday and afternoon sun. Central and hybrid systems are common here and need careful monitoring to keep outdoor units free of dust and radiant heat exposure. Maintenance is scheduled early to avoid service cuts during peak shopping hours.
Al Rawasi sits in east Jeddah, a mixed commercial zone with medium shops, covered markets and glass fronts exposed to direct sunlight.
Most shops here use multi-head split systems or a hybrid setup combining central AC with standalone units.
The AC setup in Al Rawasi
- 1
Multi-head split for medium shops
Medium shops in Al Rawasi often use one outdoor unit connected to several indoor units across sales floors and stockrooms.
- 2
Hybrid systems mixing central and split
Some covered markets combine central AC for corridors with separate splits per shop, allowing independent control and energy savings.
- 3
Outdoor units in heat and dust-exposed locations
Outdoor units here are often on roofs or corners exposed to direct sun and dust, requiring frequent cleaning and extra insulation.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
Our glass fronts face direct sun, how does the AC cope with the heat load?
Heat load from glass fronts significantly increases AC demand, so we recommend precise load calculation and oversized units, with regular coil and filter checks.
Our markets are covered but tight, can we run central ducts through the narrow passages?
Yes, but it needs flexible duct design and precise air balancing to avoid dead zones, and coordination with shop owners to run ducts overhead without blocking exits.
Dust and heat affect the outdoor units, how often should we clean them?
In Al Rawasi, outdoor units need cleaning every month or two in summer because of dust and heat exposure, with fan and coil checks to ensure no dust buildup.
AC drainage runs to the common passage, could that cause issues?
Yes, drainage must be carefully routed to prevent pooling in passages and customer slips; we recommend separate drain lines reaching safe collection points away from pedestrian traffic.
