When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

- Ductwork from our workshop
- Maintenance contracts off peak
How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Sawari is a relatively modern commercial area mixing ground-floor shops, light storage and flats above, where the shop doors stay open much of the day and customers flow in and out constantly, raising cooling losses. The electrical run for outdoor units needs careful planning in larger projects so it does not affect other building circuits.
Al Sawari lies in northern Jeddah, a commercial area with light warehouses and mixed retail.
Most small shops in Al Sawari have separate split units, while larger retail projects need commercial-grade units with higher cooling capacity.
The AC setup in Al Sawari
- 1
Single or dual split for small shops
Small shops in Al Sawari typically use one or two split units depending on the floor area and heat load.
- 2
Central commercial unit for larger complexes
Larger retail complexes in Al Sawari need a commercial unit with higher capacity distributing cooling across multiple zones.
- 3
Outdoor unit on facade or rooftop
Outdoor units are typically mounted on the shop facade or roof depending on available space and electrical requirements.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Sawari
- 1
Tell us how many doors and windows the shop has
The number of open doors and windows affects the cooling capacity calculation, so tell us before we visit.
- 2
Confirm where the outdoor unit can go
Confirm that the facade or roof allows safe outdoor unit placement without affecting neighbouring shops.
- 3
Ensure adequate electrical supply is available
Check your existing circuit strength and tell us if there have been previous issues with frequent shutdowns.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
My shop is open all day with doors constantly opening, can the AC handle this?
Yes, we select units with higher cooling capacity than average because the continuous door opening raises the system load. We measure the shop size and door count before making the recommendation.
Where can I place the outdoor unit in a tight shop space?
We mount the outdoor unit on the shop facade or roof depending on what is available. Before the visit, tell us about the shop layout and whether there is a roof or yard to use.
Does street dust and humidity affect my AC unit?
Yes, shops near busy streets see more dust ingress, so we choose units with stronger filters and clean the outdoor condenser every three months.
My shop's electricity is weak, does that affect the AC?
Yes, older shops may have weak electrical supply. We check the circuit capacity before installation and may need to reinforce the line or run a separate circuit for the new unit.
