Split AC installation in Al Jawharah

In Al Jawharah, south Jeddah, split installation on modern villas and apartment blocks needs precise placement because the buildings are relatively new and spacious. Alrabih places both units carefully, runs insulated copper and a drain with proper fall, vacuums the line before start-up, so your unit cools quietly from day one.

  • Full vacuum
  • Proper drain

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Jawharah holds modern villas and multi-storey apartment blocks with spacious flats, ample space between buildings, and high ceilings that make outdoor-unit placement relatively straightforward. This modern layout means most installations here need longer copper runs between the two units and drains that fall across multiple storeys. Our team chooses the copper route to avoid direct sun damage on south and west facing walls, and ensures the outdoor unit sits solidly on a safe roof or balcony.

Al Jawharah lies in south Jeddah, a district of modern villas and apartment blocks with wide spaces and regular urban planning.

Most villas and apartment blocks here choose one split per flat or unit, with outdoor units placed on roofs or high balconies.

The AC setup in Al Jawharah

  1. 1

One split per flat or unit

The spacious layouts in the apartment blocks and villas here allow one split per flat, with flexibility in outdoor-unit placement.

  2. 2

Long copper runs from roofs to flats

The modern building design requires long copper runs from high roofs or balconies down to indoor units on lower floors.

  3. 3

    Drains falling across multiple storeys

Drains often fall across several storeys before exiting the building, requiring secure mounting and careful checks for proper slope.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Jawharah

  1. 1

    Pinpoint the outdoor unit location

Let us know in advance if the outdoor unit will be on the roof or balcony, and confirm safe access to that location.

  2. 2

Choose the copper and drain route

Before the visit, decide which walls (north or east side) you prefer for copper routing, and where the drain can exit the building.

  3. 3

Confirm power supply at the indoor unit location

Check that there is a power outlet near the indoor unit location, or that a new cable can be run to it from the electrical panel.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

Modern villas here need long copper runs, does that affect performance?

Length does not affect performance if the copper is well-insulated and fully evacuated before start-up. Our team performs deep vacuum and confirms no moisture remains in the line.

My outdoor unit sits high on the roof, how do you keep it safe from wind and rain?

We mount the unit on a strong concrete or metal base with wind-resistant angle brackets, and tilt the cover to drain rain away from electrical parts.

South and west walls here get fierce sun, does the insulated copper degrade in that heat?

The copper needs shade from direct sun, so we route pipes via the north or east side of the building when possible, or add extra protective sheathing to exposed runs.

How long does a complete installation take in a spacious villa or flat here?

Time depends on copper length, route obstacles and indoor space, and we usually complete installation, evacuation and testing in one day, but complex cases may take longer. Send us a photo on WhatsApp for an accurate estimate.
