Split AC installation in Al Quraini'yah

In Al Quraini'yah, south Jeddah, split installation requires understanding the neighbourhood's mix of family villas and modern residential blocks. Alrabih's team tailors each installation to the building's needs and vacuums the line before start-up to ensure efficient, safe cooling.

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

What sets this district apart

Al Quraini'yah is a diverse neighbourhood in south Jeddah blending spacious family villas with small gardens and modern multi-storey residential blocks. Villas offer larger outdoor spaces and high roofs suited to outdoor units, while residential buildings have limited balconies. This variety means installation style differs significantly between villas and flats, and careful copper and drain planning is essential in both types.

Al Quraini'yah sits in south Jeddah, a diverse residential area mixing family villas with modern apartment blocks.

Villas here typically allow one or more splits with outdoor units on roofs, while flats in residential blocks need different placement on limited balconies.

The AC setup in Al Quraini'yah

  1. 1

One or more splits depending on villa size

Large villas may need multiple indoor and outdoor units, while smaller villas work with one or two splits.

  2. 2

One split per flat in residential blocks

Flats in modern residential blocks typically need just one split with the outdoor unit on the small balcony.

  3. 3

Outdoor units on roofs and balconies

Villas use broad roofs, flats use small balconies, and both require safe, efficient mounting.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

Our new villa is very spacious, how many splits do we need?

It depends on the villa's design and room layout. We survey it first and recommend the number of units and best location for each area.

New villas here have broad roofs, is that helpful?

Very much so, broad roofs give ample space to mount outdoor units safely and away from direct sun where possible.

I am buying a flat in a new building, how does installation differ from a villa?

Flats usually have only a small balcony, so we coordinate placement to fit the limited space, choosing a compact outdoor unit and tidy location on the balcony.

Southern heat may be intense on a top-floor flat, how do you help?

We place the outdoor unit to avoid direct sun where possible and recommend a split with cooling capacity suited to top-floor heat.
