When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

What the installation covers
- Site check and unit positions
- Insulated copper, sealed wall core
- Drain line with correct fall
- Vacuum and leak test
- Start-up test with you present
How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
Al Salamah is a coastal area with mid-sized residential flats and commercial buildings very close to the sea, which raises humidity and salt levels on all metals and electrical components. Outdoor units here face daily damp, salty winds that corrode copper and aluminium if not handled carefully. Strong insulation and regular maintenance are essential in this coastal climate.
Al Salamah lies in west Jeddah near the coast, a district of flats and commercial buildings in a humid coastal setting.
Most outdoor units in Al Salamah need extra protection from salt, and the copper used must be of a salt-resistant grade because of the coastal proximity.
The AC setup in Al Salamah
- 1
Coastal-grade split unit with salt protection
Units in Al Salamah must be designed to withstand humidity and salt, and we use salt-resistant copper and connectors.
- 2
Drain line protected from salt deposits
Drain lines in coastal areas need extra protection from salt and algae buildup, and we design them for easy regular cleaning.
- 3
Heavy insulation for copper in humid conditions
High humidity requires thick copper insulation that maintains cooling efficiency and prevents corrosion for longer.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Salamah
- 1
Verify safe outdoor unit access
Choose a safe spot for the outdoor unit away from direct wind exposure and close to a reliable power source.
- 2
Confirm strong electrical protection is available
Verify the presence of an earth-leakage protection breaker in the electrical panel, and let us know if the cable needs upgrading due to distance.
- 3
Choose a location away from direct sea spray
If possible, choose a location for the outdoor unit sheltered from coastal winds and the salt they carry.

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
Can our coastal location damage a new split AC?
Salt and humidity can speed up corrosion, so we use salt-resistant copper and strong insulation, and recommend regular servicing to protect the unit.
Is roof installation of the outdoor unit better than a wall in coastal areas?
A roof may offer better ventilation away from moisture pooling on walls, but we choose the location based on wind exposure, safety and distance from residents.
Does high humidity affect the drain pan and cables?
Yes, humidity can corrode cables and cause mould in the drain pan, so we use protected connections and clean the drain regularly.
Does the electrical setup need special protection in a humid coastal area?
We prefer a robust earth-leakage protection breaker and ensure all connections are shielded from moisture and salt.
