Split AC installation in Al Sarawat

Split AC installation in Al Sarawat calls for precision in placing units and running copper lines on the modern villas and residential blocks in this growing district. Alrabih's team positions both units with care, evacuates the line before start-up, and ensures quiet cooling from day one without leaks.

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Sarawat is a growing district south of Jeddah with modern, spacious villas and mid-rise residential blocks offering adequate outdoor space. This urban pattern gives flexibility in choosing outdoor-unit placement on walls and roofs, but sometimes requires longer copper runs between distant rooms. The presence of storage or technical voids makes routing pipes and cables efficient, and good insulation in newer buildings means the carefully installed split will perform at its best.

Al Sarawat lies south of Jeddah and is a modern residential area of well-planned villas and apartment blocks with wide streets.

Most installations here are separate split units per flat or villa, reflecting the independence and compartmentalised design of modern housing.

The AC setup in Al Sarawat

  1. 1

    Independent split per residential unit

Modern buildings in Al Sarawat are designed for separate units, so each villa or flat has its own cooling system without shared central runs.

  2. 2

Spacious outdoor areas for exterior units

The villas and blocks in Al Sarawat provide ample walls and roofs to mount the outdoor unit safely and securely.

  3. 3

    Extended copper runs between wings

Large villas and blocks with long corridors may need extended copper runs, which require precise measurement and robust insulation.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Sarawat

  1. 1

Confirm parking for the team van

Al Sarawat's streets are usually wide, but make sure the team can park near the main entrance.

  2. 2

Agree on the outdoor unit location beforehand

One photo of your villa or building walls on WhatsApp helps us identify the best spot before we visit.

  3. 3

Ensure roofs or walls are safe to access

If the outdoor unit goes on the roof, confirm the roof is safe and strong enough to bear the unit and team during installation.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

I have a new villa in Al Sarawat, how do you choose where to place the outdoor unit?

We look for a north-facing or shaded wall that is easy to reach for future servicing. We visit the site first to assess the best location.

The distance between my living room and other rooms is large, will the installation take longer?

Longer distances need more copper and extended runs, but the technical voids in modern buildings make routing easier. We measure on-site and bring the right materials.

South Jeddah gets very hot in summer, does the outdoor unit need shade?

Yes, intense heat raises the compressor load. We prefer placing the outdoor unit in a shaded spot, or installing a protective canopy if natural shade is not available.

How do you protect exposed copper pipes on the wall from sun and rain?

We wrap the copper pipes with thick foam insulation, then cover them with plastic conduit to protect from UV and moisture. This extends the pipe life and maintains cooling efficiency.
