When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

What sets this district apart

Al Ta'awun is a balanced residential district mixing modern villas and apartment blocks on regular streets that are wider than other southern districts. Buildings here are newer and outdoor spaces are better available, allowing more flexibility in outdoor unit placement. But high population density and rapid urban expansion in the area mean drainage systems can be complex, and copper runs need precise planning to avoid clashes with other wiring and pipes.

Al Ta'awun is located in south Jeddah, a developed residential area mixing modern villas and apartment blocks on regular streets.

Most outdoor units in Al Ta'awun are placed on a safe roof or clear exterior wall, as outdoor space is relatively available.

The AC setup in Al Ta'awun

  1. 1

Split unit on safe roof in modern villas

Modern villas in Al Ta'awun typically offer a safe, relatively spacious roof for secure outdoor unit mounting.

  2. 2

Medium-length run from outdoor to indoor unit

Distance from roof to the conditioned room is often medium, allowing good balance between performance and efficiency.

  3. 3

Split systems in apartment blocks with shared runs

Some modern apartment blocks in Al Ta'awun may allow copper lines to be distributed through shared passages serving multiple units.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Ta'awun

Pinpoint the exact outdoor unit location on your roof

Tell us your preferred roof location for the outdoor unit, and ensure that area is clear of obstacles or overhead cables.

  2. 2

Confirm a dedicated and safe electrical circuit is available

Ask your electrician to verify a dedicated circuit exists for the unit, or let us inspect when we arrive to ensure safety.

  3. 3

Alert us to any underground pipes or nearby construction

If construction is nearby or underground pipes are known, tell us in advance so we avoid them and plan the best copper line route.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

My villa is new with deep foundations, do underground pipes affect installation?

We survey the area before installation and avoid any known underground pipes, routing the AC copper lines above ground or through safe walls.

Building in Al Ta'awun is very rapid, does this affect power quality?

Rapid construction may leave electrical circuits incomplete or disorganised, so we inspect the intended circuit for the unit and verify its capacity before work starts.

Summers in Al Ta'awun are very hot and the AC runs hard, does this affect drainage?

Yes, heavy AC use increases water build-up in the drain pan, so we install robust drainage on a clear slope and may add a vent valve if needed.

There are apartment blocks under construction nearby, does construction dust affect the copper lines?

Construction dust may settle on the lines, but thick thermal insulation protects them, and we ensure all joints and openings are safely sealed during installation.
