Split AC installation in Harat Al Mazloum

Split AC installation in Harat Al Mazloum, downtown Jeddah, needs specialist care because buildings sit close together and outdoor space is severely limited. We thread pipes carefully through tight passages and mount units on constrained facades without disturbing neighbours.

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.

What sets this district apart

Harat Al Mazloum is among Jeddah's oldest districts, with tightly built residential and commercial blocks, narrow streets and almost no outdoor space. Installation here calls for creativity in siting the outdoor unit and routing copper without the unit looming awkwardly onto the street or blocking light from nearby windows. Drainage also needs extra care because small gaps can cause water pooling or line blockages.

Harat Al Mazloum is in the heart of historic downtown, a very old district of tightly fused residential and commercial blocks with narrow streets.

Most buildings here are surrounded by close residential walls, so outdoor units mount on narrow facades or wall corners at varied heights.

The AC setup in Harat Al Mazloum

  1. 1

Split with outdoor unit on a narrow side wall

Units mount on narrow side walls of old buildings, away from the main frontage that might disturb neighbours.

  2. 2

Short copper run with heavy insulation

The distance between units is usually short, so we focus on thick insulation against humidity and coastal salt.

  3. 3

Drainage routed down old building walls

Drainage runs down old channels or external walls with constant fall and no water pooling.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Harat Al Mazloum

  1. 1

Coordinate with residents about unit site and available space

Tell us in advance about the available site and walls permitted for mounting, and confirm neighbours' agreement.

  2. 2

Identify the nearest safe parking and passage

Share the nearest safe parking spot and the shortest, widest entry route to the building.

  3. 3

    Confirm the preferred drainage route

Specify your preferred drainage direction (external wall or old channel), and check that nothing blocks the downward path.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

Buildings are extremely close here, can you mount the unit on a narrow facade?

Yes, we mount units on narrow facades using sturdy metal brackets and special gauges. We ensure the unit does not protrude awkwardly onto the street or neighbours' side.

Our streets are very narrow, how do you deliver units and equipment?

Our team carries units by hand when needed and identifies the closest possible parking before the visit. We coordinate with residents to clear the passage and entry.

The old town has very high humidity, does this affect the copper pipes and drainage?

Yes, humidity and coastal salt speed copper oxidation and rust. We use high-grade thick insulation and install an auxiliary drain pan to prevent leaks and moisture buildup.

Old buildings have tight drain channels, could the AC drainage cause blockages?

Modern AC drainage rarely causes blockages, but we choose the shortest, steepest route and fit a strainer where the drainage meets the old channels.
