Fitted right first time
Split AC installation in Quba
In Quba, north-east Jeddah, split AC installation in villas and modern apartment blocks requires deep understanding of desert climate and intense heat exposure. Alrabih's team carefully selects unit positions, insulates lines with heavy-duty protection, and fully evacuates the system before start-up for effective long-term cooling.
- Mueller copper
- Full vacuum

When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

What the installation covers
- Site check and unit positions
- Insulated copper, sealed wall core
- Drain line with correct fall
- Vacuum and leak test
- Start-up test with you present
How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
Quba is a developed residential district mixing modern villas and 5 to 7-storey apartment blocks, positioned north-east of Jeddah where desert heat is higher and more intense year-round, with lower humidity but direct sun exposure adding pressure on outdoor units. Villas offer ample outdoor space, but severe heat demands positioning outdoor units in shade or protection from direct sun. Copper lines need heavier insulation than other districts to prevent cooling loss and rapid condensation.
Quba sits north-east of Jeddah, a modern residential district with a desert location exposing buildings to intense heat and direct sun.
Outdoor units in Quba are typically positioned with direct-sun protection, either on shaded walls or under custom awnings, and thick line insulation is essential.
The AC setup in Quba
- 1
Outdoor unit sun-protected under an awning
Units in Quba are shaded by awnings or protective roofs reducing direct sun stress on the condenser.
- 2
Thick-insulated copper lines with UV protection
Exposed copper lines receive thick insulation and additional UV and heat protection.
- 3
Filters and periodic cleaning due to wind and dust
Dust accumulation in Quba builds faster, requiring more frequent cleaning than other areas.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Quba
- 1
Choose a sun-protected location for the outdoor unit
Select a shaded wall or awning-covered spot providing year-round protection from direct sun before installation day.
- 2
Ensure wind and sand protection is in place
If the unit will face direct wind or sand, prepare a windscreen or protective barrier before installation.
- 3
Prepare drainage away from wet areas
Ensure the drain from the indoor unit directs water away from damp areas or low ground where pooling could occur.

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
Heat in Quba is intense, does a standard unit suffice?
Intense heat and direct sun exposure may call for higher-capacity units than other districts, and we recommend assessing your needs with us before purchase.
Where can I put the outdoor unit away from direct sun?
Mount it on a shaded north or west wall, or under an awning or pergola providing all-day shade from direct sun.
Sandy soil and winds in Quba increase dust on the unit, how do you protect it?
We use architectural protection like windscreens or protective fencing around the unit, and recommend periodic cleaning due to faster dust build-up.
Copper lines will be exposed to sun, does standard insulation suffice?
No, we use thicker insulation and UV protection on exposed lines, and cover them with protective sleeves where possible.
