When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Ain Al Aziziyah is a mixed residential and commercial district with flats, commercial towers, small hospitals and hotels relying on AC quality. Buildings here vary in size, some older and needing retrofits, others new with full central air projects. On-site cut ducts leak cold air and disrupt distribution quality, especially in hospitals and hotels where precise temperature and humidity control is critical. Our workshop-made ducts are fully sealed and insulated with precision, and numbered for easy installation.

Al Ain Al Aziziyah sits in central Jeddah, a mixed district of residential, commercial, medical and hospitality uses.

Projects here range from residential flats to hotels and hospitals, each requiring ducts of different sizes and insulation standards.

The AC setup in Al Ain Al Aziziyah

  1. 1

    Medium-span main distribution ducts

Mid-rise buildings in the district need main distribution ducts of reasonable length with multiple branches to supply cold air to flats and offices.

  2. 2

Insulated return ducts for humidity control

Insulated return ducts prevent moisture condensation on the outer surface, important in the humid coastal environment of Jeddah.

  3. 3

Intermediate plenum boxes in hotels and hospitals

Hotels and hospitals need intermediate plenum boxes to redistribute cold air and ensure even distribution throughout all wings.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Ain Al Aziziyah

  1. 1

    Obtain complete project drawings

Architectural and mechanical drawings for the project help us calculate duct lengths accurately and avoid conflicts with other systems.

  2. 2

Confirm main unit location and distribution points

Confirming the main unit location and distribution outlets on each floor ensures the duct path design is correct.

  3. 3

Inspect space available for ducts in ceilings and walls

Inspect actual space between ceilings, beams and walls to confirm adequate room for the specified duct runs.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Are your ducts suitable for hospitals and hotels needing high precision?

Yes, our ducts are sealed and insulated with high precision to prevent air and moisture leaks, suitable for projects requiring exact temperature control.

My building is old with low ceilings, can you make undersized ducts?

We can make ducts in any size fitting an older building, but they must be adequate to pass air without excess pressure loss, and the design is based on the heat load calculation.

Humidity and salt in the coastal air, do they affect your ducts?

The insulation and sealing in our ducts protect against moisture and salt condensation, and every joint is sealed with Foster sealant which stops leaks even in high humidity.

How often do we need to clean the ducts after installation?

Sealed and insulated ducts prevent dust and debris entry, but an initial cleaning after installation is important if dust accumulated during construction, and routine cleaning depends on building use.
