When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Manarat buildings are very tall and dense, running complex central AC systems across multi-storey towers, but hand-cut site ducts cannot maintain cold air pressure across the vast distances and many floors. Pre-manufacturing ducts with precise dimensions and full insulation in our workshop ensures even air distribution from first to top floor.

Al Manarat sits in far north Jeddah, a district of tall residential towers and large modern projects with wide parking areas.

Most Al Manarat projects need main ducts with large diameters to push air up residential towers of 20 to 30 storeys or more.

The AC setup in Al Manarat

  1. 1

Main and branch ducts with graduated diameters

We manufacture large main ducts branching into smaller sub-ducts per floor, each section fully insulated throughout.

  2. 2

Tightened sealing standards for multiple floors

Every seam in Al Manarat ducts is sealed to high precision to prevent air leaks that accumulate across the tower's height.

  3. 3

    Metal supports for secure installation

Large ducts are secured with strong metal supports on each floor to bear the duct weight and the cold air flowing through.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Manarat

  1. 1

Obtain the full architectural plans for the tower

Send us full floor plans showing the main unit, all outlets and inter-floor voids in complete detail for every level.

  2. 2

Coordinate installation timing with project management

Duct installation needs coordination with building, plumbing and electrical crews, so let us know which phases are available before works conclude.

  3. 3

Provide a lift and work platforms on floors

Installing ducts on tall towers needs a safe lift and work platforms on floors to protect the crew and equipment.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Tall towers need strong air pressure in the ducts, how do you design them?

We manufacture ducts with diameters and thicknesses calculated for floor count and load, sealing all seams precisely to reduce pressure loss across the full height.

How do you deliver ducts to tall towers and install them in tight spaces between floors?

We manufacture numbered duct sections matching the height and width of each inter-floor space, installing them bottom-up with secure metal supports to ensure stability.

Temperature differences between upper and lower floors may cause condensation, is insulation enough?

Yes, full insulation with tight sealing keeps cold air temperature stable and prevents condensation even across large height differences in towers.

Do the ducts need electrical changes to fan power distribution across different floors?

The ducts need no power, but before installation we confirm the main fans can push air through all sections and outlets installed across the floors.
