Precision-made ductwork

AC duct manufacturing in Al Shifa

In Al Shifa, south Jeddah, new projects and commercial expansions need reliable air-distribution ducts, yet on-site cutting leaves gaps that waste cool air. Alrabih manufactures ducts in advance in the workshop to precise dimensions, seals every seam with Foster sealant, and delivers them ready for immediate installation.

When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Shifa is a fast-growing zone in south Jeddah witnessing rapid construction of new residential and commercial projects, most of which choose central AC for its cleanliness and energy savings over multiple separate units. Workshop-made ducts offer tight seals and reduce cold-air waste that significantly affects electricity bills in south Jeddah's intense heat and humidity.

Al Shifa lies in south Jeddah, a fast-growing zone of modern residential and commercial projects planned around central AC networks.

New projects in Al Shifa use multiple parallel ducts with one or two horizontal air handlers depending on the complex size.

The AC setup in Al Shifa

  1. 1

    Multi-branch ducts from single handler

Large Al Shifa projects typically use one or two air handlers with multiple branch ducts feeding different floors and sections.

  2. 2

    Ducts with integrated acoustic lining

Commercial and office projects in Al Shifa may request ducts with acoustic lining to reduce airflow noise in shared spaces.

  3. 3

    Modular ductwork with standard sections

Large Al Shifa projects may need modular ducts with standard sections that can be expanded and assembled, easing staged storage and installation.

Before the visit

    Send complete project drawings early

Send building drawings, dimensions and HVAC specifications as early as possible to start production on schedule.

  2. 2

Specify air-handler and plenum locations precisely

Tell us exactly where air handlers, main plenums and branch points are located to design a duct system matching your actual layout.

  3. 3

Prepare the site for duct delivery and installation

Ensure safe ceiling access, clear upper voids, and temporary storage space for ducts before installation begins.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Al Shifa projects build fast; can you supply ducts on a tight schedule?

We can; we request specifications and drawings early and start production in parallel with construction to meet your delivery deadline.

New Al Shifa sites need mechanical haulage for heavy ducts; do you provide this?

We provide duct transport in suitable vehicles based on size and weight; Al Shifa's wide streets make access easy for most new sites.

Al Shifa is close to the coast; do humidity and salt air affect duct quality?

We use standard materials rated for humidity, and full insulation protects ducts from condensation and surface corrosion caused by coastal salt and moisture.

Ducts installed on fast projects; how do you ensure no leaks occur after installation?

All ducts leave the workshop sealed with Foster sealant on every joint, and the installation team inspects the seals during fixing and seals any additional gaps.
