When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Obaid is a fast-growing area with new villas and modern apartment blocks, and many projects there choose central AC to save interior space and achieve uniform aesthetics. Site-cut ducts leave gaps that bleed cold air and condensation surfaces in Jeddah's humid heat, but workshop-made ducts sealed with precision stop these problems from the start.

Obaid lies in south Jeddah, a modern expansion area with residential and commercial projects of varied scale.

Most villa and apartment projects in Obaid need central ducts with distribution plenums, given the new construction and open-plan layouts.

The AC setup in Obaid

  1. 1

    Central supply and return network

New projects in Obaid typically need a main plenum distributing cold air to separate branches for each zone of the villa or building.

  2. 2

Sealed return ducts in enclosed chases

Return ducts from the rooms need full insulation and tight sealing to stop humidity and dust entering through gaps.

  3. 3

    Numbered sections ready to hang

Ducts arrive from the workshop numbered and sealed, so the installation crew follows the numbers and drawings to hang them without re-cutting.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Obaid

  1. 1

Provide the construction drawings or layout

Send us a copy of the architectural plan showing duct routes, ceilings and internal walls before the visit.

  2. 2

    Ready the site for measurement

Ensure the planned ceilings and chases are accessible, and lighting is adequate for taking precise measurements.

  3. 3

Coordinate with the construction or contracting team

Tell the contractor about our visit for duct measurement, since the construction stage may affect the planning.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Does workshop-made ductwork really improve AC efficiency?

Yes. Site-cut ducts leak cold air through gaps and cracks, but fully sealed workshop ducts stop that loss and maintain system pressure.

Our project is new, how do we give you the exact duct dimensions?

We visit the site before manufacturing to measure runs, heights and outlets, or you can send the project drawings on WhatsApp to avoid errors.

Jeddah's humidity may cause condensation on the ducts, does insulation protect against it?

Yes, full insulation stops the temperature difference between the cold air inside and the humid outside air, so moisture does not condense on the outer surface.

The ducts will run through new ceilings and walls, is early planning essential?

Very much so. Made-to-size ducts need their routes pre-drawn on the plans, and any delay in coordination holds up the project schedule.
