Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Sharqiyah is a dense commercial and service district with large hotels, hospitals and sprawling shopping malls, each needing an advanced AC system controlling temperature and humidity with high precision. On-site duct cannot handle the engineering complexity and different thermal zones in these large, interlocking buildings. Workshop fabrication from precise drawings and real measurements delivers a coordinated system that distributes air efficiently with zero leakage.

Al Sharqiyah is in north-east Jeddah, a dense district of large hotels, hospitals and sprawling shopping malls.

Hotels, hospitals and commercial complexes here use duct systems with multiple thermal zones and complex central control.

The AC setup in Al Sharqiyah

  1. 1

    Duct with multiple thermal zones

Hotels and hospitals need duct divided into separate zones controlling different temperatures, and workshop fabrication provides this precise division.

  2. 2

    Complex transitions between different systems

Large shopping malls need complex transitions from main duct to multiple branch systems in separate sections.

  3. 3

Strong metal supports for heavy loads

Large systems in hotels and hospitals need strong engineering supports and standard metal couplers to carry the weight.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Sharqiyah

  1. 1

Coordinate with project management and the main contractor

Large projects require project management approval before site access; schedule a safe measurement time.

  2. 2

    Bring complete detailed engineering drawings

Complex projects need detailed drawings for each system and zone; ensure all duct-related drawings are available.

  3. 3

Check temporary storage areas for the duct

Duct is long and heavy, so arrange a safe, covered storage area on site for delivered duct before installation.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Can on-site duct work for the complex systems in hotels and hospitals?

No, hotels and hospitals need precise thermal control and multiple thermal zones, which on-site fabrication cannot deliver. The workshop builds these complex systems to high specifications.

Does congestion in Al Sharqiyah make delivery and installation difficult?

Yes, shopping and hotel areas are congested, so we coordinate visits with project management at set times and use designated site entrances.

Does high humidity in Al Sharqiyah affect the metal duct?

Yes, high humidity and salt cause corrosion, so we use galvanized steel or aluminium with thermal insulation that protects against moisture.

Can the fabricated duct handle the heavy loads of large systems in hospitals and hotels?

Yes, we choose metal gauge and bracket size based on system capacity and expected loads, using strong engineering supports.
