When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

What sets this district apart

Al Hindawiyah is an old commercial hub with groceries, popular markets and food shops crammed into narrow, dim spaces on or below historic apartment blocks, most with no rear space. Coastal humidity and intense heat stress the condenser and fan, and copper pipes are often too short, reducing cooling efficiency. Visit scheduling needs advance agreement with the shop owner.

Al Hindawiyah sits in Jeddah's historic downtown, an old market and trading zone with closely built narrow residential blocks.

Most fridges here are small to medium independent units, with outdoor units mounted on tiny balconies or very narrow facades.

The AC setup in Al Hindawiyah

  1. 1

    Small display fridges in groceries

Old groceries use small display fridges for dairy and juices, mounted directly inside the shop.

  2. 2

Display fridges in popular restaurants and cafés

Popular old restaurants and cafés place small display fridges on narrow facades or very basic balconies.

  3. 3

    Outdoor units on narrow balconies

Most outdoor units are mounted on narrow balconies or facades because the buildings are so tightly built.

Before the visit

Check that the balcony or facade with the outdoor unit is safe to climb before the visit day.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

My shop is old in the popular market, do you service older fridges?

Yes, we serve Al Hindawiyah's old shops and traditional fridges. We inspect and repair them even if they are older brands or simple units.

My shop's street is very narrow and the unit sits on a tiny balcony, how do you repair it?

We agree on the best time and closest parking spot, and the team carefully goes up to the small balcony and completes the repair in confined space.

High humidity and coastal salt air damage the fridge fast, is this normal?

Yes, the coastal environment and humidity speed up rust on pipes and the condenser. Regular checks every month or two are needed to keep it working.

The small fridge in my old café doesn't cool properly, what do you do?

We inspect the fan, condenser, circulation and pipes fully. It may need cleaning or gas recharging, and we identify the real cause on the first visit.
