When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Al Sabeel is a historic dense district of small shops, cafés and restaurants serving visitors and locals, with fridges running extended hours from morning to night. Coastal humidity, heat and tight crowding all strain the condenser, fan and door. Many of these shops have very limited space, so the fridge faces repeated door opening and high heat pressure from outside air.

Al Sabeel sits in the heart of historic central Jeddah, a district of old tight shops with small cafés and restaurants around the markets and popular passages.

Most small cafés and restaurants here use compact display fridges or built-in counter fridges, with bottom or side-mount condensers in very confined spaces.

The AC setup in Al Sabeel

  1. 1

    Small display fridges for cafés

Small cafés and coffee shops use compact display fridges with limited capacity, fixed to walls or corners.

  2. 2

Embedded counter-top fridges in the counter

Many restaurants and cafés embed counter fridges directly under counters or tables to maximise tight space.

  3. 3

Vertical display fridges with side-mounted condensers

Some restaurants choose vertical display fridges with side-mounted condensers to use height rather than horizontal space.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Sabeel

  1. 1

Clear the route around fridge and condenser

Remove any items or equipment around the fridge, especially near the side or bottom condenser, so we can reach and clean it.

  2. 2

Choose a time that does not disrupt service

Small cafés and restaurants work long hours, so tell us when customer traffic is light so service can proceed smoothly.

  3. 3

    Check the outdoor condenser connections

Check if the condenser has pipes running outside or to the roof, and tell us where they are and if they are easily accessible.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

My café fridge makes a strange noise then warms up, what is the cause?

The noise usually comes from a sluggish fan or a condenser blocked by dust and humidity. That blocks airflow so heat rises. We clean the condenser and fan and inspect the compressor.

The café is very small and the fridge is in a corner, can you service it?

Yes, our team is used to confined spaces. We coordinate the best time so we do not disrupt customers, and can shift the fridge slightly if needed to access the condenser.

Humidity in Al Sabeel is very high, does it affect cooling?

Yes, coastal humidity makes the condenser and fan clog and collect dirt faster. We do deeper cleaning of the fan, condenser and filter on every service.

My old fridge door does not seal tightly, is there a fix?

Old gaskets lose their flexibility, especially with repeated opening. We inspect the gaskets and replace them if worn to ensure a tight seal.
