When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Most Corniche restaurants and cafés are modern, with open or semi-open kitchens overlooking the sea, so their fridges work under constant high demand and moisture load. Salt air accelerates corrosion of condenser fins and electrical connections, and regular condenser coil cleaning is vital to prevent rapid blockage. Units here are typically heavy, floor-mounted systems built into the kitchen, so they need skilled maintenance from a team that understands both electrical and mechanical faults.

The North Corniche is a modern waterfront district with direct sea exposure, housing restaurants, hotels and retail facing salt winds and high humidity.

Most restaurant fridges here are large-capacity separate horizontal or vertical units, installed in kitchens or enclosed storage rooms.

The AC setup in North Corniche

  1. 1

Large-capacity horizontal fridge in the kitchen

Most restaurants here use heavy-duty horizontal units permanently fixed into the kitchen floor or corner to save space.

  2. 2

Separate vertical fridge in the storage room

Larger restaurants often have additional vertical units in a dedicated cold storage room for backup stock.

  3. 3

Outdoor condenser unit on roof or wall

The outdoor unit is typically exposed directly to salt air and heat, requiring extra protection and more frequent cleaning than inland areas.

Before the visit

Before our visit in North Corniche

  1. 1

Clear space around the fridge for inspection

Ensure the team can access all sides of the fridge and outdoor unit freely without moving heavy kitchen equipment.

  2. 2

Coordinate with kitchen manager on visit timing

Choose a time between services or before peak hours to avoid clashing with daily kitchen operations.

  3. 3

Check electrical safety for the test

Confirm electrical connections are safe and that the team can safely disconnect the unit for inspection and repair.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

Our restaurant is on the Corniche, does salt air damage the fridge?

Yes, salt air accelerates corrosion of the condenser and wiring, so fridges here need more frequent cleaning cycles than inland locations.

Our kitchen stays hot all day, does that strain the fridge compressor?

Yes, sustained high heat and humidity increase strain on the evaporator and condenser, so the compressor needs regular checks to prevent overwork.

Our fridge is built into the kitchen next to the stove and oven, is that a problem?

Yes, radiant heat from nearby appliances increases the cooling load, so we recommend checking airflow around the outdoor unit to ensure it is not blocked.

How often should we clean the fridge condenser in summer?

On the Corniche, we advise condenser cleaning every two to three weeks in summer to prevent rapid blockage from salt and dust buildup.
