When you need a medical HVAC specialist
- 1
Hospital or clinic under construction
The right design starts before any duct is installed, because ventilation and filtration needs differ from the surgical suite to the waiting area. An early survey saves costly alterations after the building is finished.
- 2
Departments reporting warm air or odours
In an existing medical building, weak cooling in one department or odours crossing into an adjacent area signals an imbalance in the air distribution or extraction system. Finding the cause needs measurement, not guesswork.
- 3
Maintenance contract for a running facility
A hospital does not close for equipment servicing. We schedule preventive maintenance visits department by department, coordinated with facility management, and carry out repairs with the smallest possible effect on daily operations.
Who it's for
Building a new hospital or medical centre
We survey the building early and design systems to each department's requirements before installation begins.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Survey and requirements
We visit the facility, map the heat loads and air requirements for each department, and agree the duct routes before any design work begins.
- 2
Design and supply
We design the duct network and fabricate it in our own workshop to SMACNA specifications, and supply units from our authorised brands: Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold.
- 3
Phased coordinated installation
In operating buildings we work with management to phase the installation so adjacent departments stay open, and control dust and noise away from patient areas.
- 4
Commissioning and follow-up
We commission the systems, measure airflow in each department, and adjust the dampers until the design requirements are met, then hand over the facility with a maintenance plan.

What sets this district apart
Al Huda is a developed residential district in southern Jeddah with clinics and health centres in modern mid-rise blocks, organised streets and open courtyards. The orderly residential character here offers better outdoor space for units than crowded coastal areas, but southern heat and humidity remain high, so systems need strong cooling and regular maintenance focused on shielding against dust and concentrated heat.
Al Huda lies in southern inner Jeddah, a developed residential district with modern buildings and organised streets.
Hospital systems in Al Huda are typically centralised with professional air handlers and strong compressors matched to southern heat.
The AC setup in Al Huda
- 1
High-capacity centralised system
Hospitals in Al Huda use large centralised air handlers with very high cooling capacity to handle sustained southern heat.
- 2
Outdoor units in open courtyards
Al Huda's organised layout allows outdoor units to sit in open courtyards with excellent airflow and protection from direct sun.
- 3
High-performance air handling with strong filtration
Southern dust demands multi-stage strong filters and modern handling units that maintain air purity in medical zones.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Huda
- 1
Verify the courtyard is safe for work
Make sure the team can safely work on the outdoor unit with enough space for equipment and tools around it.
- 2
Coordinate maintenance time with hospital administration
Agree routine maintenance times with administration to avoid clashing with surgery schedules or patient admissions in critical zones.
- 3
Confirm heavy-equipment access
Heavy maintenance equipment may be needed, so verify the team can move it safely from parking to the courtyard.

FAQ
Questions about Hospital HVAC
How do ventilation needs differ across hospital departments?
Ventilation needs vary from one department to the next based on the activity in each area and the requirements set by the facility's designer and the site survey. Operating theatres need highly filtered, directionally controlled air, while patient rooms, corridors and administrative areas each carry different requirements. We build the duct network and select units from the facility's drawings and its specific requirements, not from general assumptions.
Can systems be maintained without stopping sensitive departments?
Yes, but it requires careful planning before the maintenance date. We agree with facility management on a schedule that names the section and the right time window, then isolate the target section using dampers and blanking plates without affecting adjacent departments. Corrective tasks such as replacing a capacitor or repairing a flare joint are carried out within the agreed time window.
What governs duct network design in a medical building?
Design is governed by the approved facility drawings and each department's requirements as defined by the site survey and the specialist designer. We fabricate ducts in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to project dimensions, and use Kimmco and Armaflex insulation with Foster sealants to control leakage. Distribution and pressure in each section follow the specifications drawn for that department individually.

Do you work with small clinics or only hospitals?
We work with medical facilities of all sizes, from a clinic in a residential district to a multi-storey medical complex. The size of the facility does not change the principle: the site survey is the starting point, and from it we determine unit types, duct dimensions and fresh-air requirements for each zone. Preventive and corrective maintenance contracts are available for clinics and hospitals alike.
Does Al Huda's intense daily heat affect compressor efficiency?
Yes, high heat increases compressor strain, so we clean the outdoor unit regularly, inspect the compressor routinely and use overheat protections.
Do Al Huda's courtyards allow larger, more powerful outdoor units?
Yes, Al Huda is well-planned with courtyards and open yards, allowing us to fit large outdoor units with excellent airflow for better performance and efficiency.
Al Huda's dust settles on air-handler filters, how often should we clean them?
Southern dust accumulates quickly; we recommend cleaning filters monthly or every six weeks in hot months, and replacing them every three months.
Does the strong outdoor unit need special electrical connections?
Yes, we inspect the main distribution panel and install separate safe circuits with adequate capacity for the strong compressor and fans, with surge protection.
