When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Rahmah is an emerging commercial zone in south Jeddah with modern complexes alongside independent shops and some light industrial use, newer buildings with larger spaces than other districts. But proximity to the coast and extreme heat put heavy pressure on AC systems, especially shops directly facing the street with multiple doors. Coordination with complex owners and individual shop owners is essential because systems may be complex, and maintenance must be precise because any downtime hits sales.
Al Rahmah is an emerging commercial zone in far south Jeddah with modern complexes, diverse shops and larger roof spaces.
Al Rahmah shops need varied AC systems from single splits to small central systems or even large central chiller systems in complexes.
The AC setup in Al Rahmah
- 1
Hybrid systems combining central and splits
Large complexes may need a central system for passages and shared areas plus separate splits for individual shops.
- 2
Powerful outdoor units on safe, spacious roofs
Al Rahmah has wider, safer roofs than other districts, allowing installation of large, powerful outdoor units.
- 3
Enhanced protection against coastal salt and humidity
Proximity to the sea requires corrosion-resistant materials and regular cleaning of outdoor units to prevent salt and moisture damage.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Rahmah
- 1
Clarify whether you need a complex-wide system or individual shop
Decide whether you need whole-complex cooling managed centrally or whether each shop wants its own independent system.
- 2
Confirm outdoor unit locations and electrical capacity
Available roof and space must be sufficient, and the building's electrical capacity must handle the new system's full load.
- 3
Coordinate with complex management and adjacent shops
If the project is large and affects multiple shops or common areas, advance coordination with all parties is essential.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
My new complex faces extreme heat, does it need a very powerful central system?
It depends on total complex area, number of shops and uses (retail, food, offices). We calculate the actual heat load and design a suitable system, which might be central or a mix of multiple systems. We visit and evaluate in detail.
Doors are open all day and the pressure on AC is huge, how do I reduce heat loss?
We recommend air curtains at main entrances and good insulation on walls and ceiling. AC alone is not enough; we need protection against outside heat. We visit, analyse and suggest the optimal solution.
My complex has restaurants and shops, does one system serve all or does each need its own?
It depends on the internal layout and space. Restaurants need extra cooling above shops because kitchens release significant heat. We might need a large central system with separate units for critical areas. We visit and design the solution.
Coastal salt and moisture damage the equipment, what is the solution?
We select corrosion and salt-resistant units, install enhanced drainage and extra protection for outdoor units. Regular precision maintenance protects equipment from early failure.
