When you need a retail HVAC specialist

  1. 1

A new mall or shopping centre

A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.

  2. 2

An existing shop with uneven cooling

The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.

  3. 3

Condensate dripping on shelves or display

A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.

Who it's for

  • Opening a new shop inside a mall

We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Site survey and loads

We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.

  2. 2

    Design and materials

We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.

  3. 3

    Installation coordinated on site

We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.

  4. 4

    Start-up and maintenance contract

We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Sahifah is a relatively older central district with crowded small shops and tight spaces between buildings, where all-day open doors and strong lighting increase AC load. Tight outdoor space for units requires creative mounting solutions like narrow facades or small balconies. Water drainage and dust from crowded tight streets need close monitoring.

Al Sahifah is in central Jeddah, a relatively older district with crowded small shops and tight spaces between buildings.

Most small shops in Al Sahifah need single or dual splits with medium capacity, and outdoor units are typically mounted on narrow facades or small roofs.

The AC setup in Al Sahifah

  1. 1

    Single or compact dual split

Very small shops in Al Sahifah need a single or compact dual split with medium capacity fitting very tight space.

  2. 2

Creative mounting on narrow facades and small balconies

Outdoor units are mounted creatively on very narrow facades or small balconies to save space.

  3. 3

Long copper runs separating indoor and outdoor units

In very constrained cases, we run long copper lines to place the outdoor unit away from the shop if possible.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Sahifah

  1. 1

Precisely measure room and street dimensions

Measure shop length, width and height precisely, and measure street depth and width to assess outdoor unit space.

  2. 2

Confirm parking and coordinate with neighbours

Agree with the shop owner on the closest parking spot and notify about visit time. Coordinate with adjacent shops if the facade is shared.

  3. 3

    Check drainage and electrical supply

Check where drainage currently goes and the state of electrical wiring, telling us about any previous issues.

FAQ

Questions about Mall & retail HVAC

How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?

An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.

Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?

Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.

Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?

A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.

How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?

Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.

Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?

The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.

My shop is very small and cramped, where do I put the AC and outdoor unit?

We choose compact, smaller units. The indoor unit mounts high on the wall, and the outdoor one goes on a narrow facade or small roof, running long copper line if needed.

The street is narrow and busy, how do you bring in equipment and tools?

Our team is experienced in Al Sahifah's tight streets. We bring tools in by hand and coordinate with the shop owner for the closest parking. Closure may be just a few hours.

Dust and air pollution from the crowded street affects my AC?

Yes, crowded tight streets raise dust. We clean filters every two months, choosing units with strong filters. The outdoor condenser needs more frequent cleaning.

Condenser water in a narrow street, where does it drain?

We check drainage before installation. If there is no proper drain, we may install a small pump to lift the water or direct it safely, coordinated with the shop owner and building.
