When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Prince Fawaz South has modern shopping centres and retail shops in relatively new buildings with large glass facades that reflect intense heat, in a location where direct solar exposure on surfaces is severe. The system we design must run efficiently all day and adapt to rapid load swings from door openings and variable footfall, and routine maintenance must be timed carefully so it does not clash with high-value trading hours.
Prince Fawaz South is in south Jeddah, a recently developed area with modern shopping centres and contemporary commercial buildings.
Most shops and centres here run central AC systems or multiple splits with smart controls to manage the heat load.
The AC setup in Prince Fawaz South
- 1
Single unified central AC system
Many modern centres here have a single central system serving the entire mall with air distribution through ducts and plenums.
- 2
Separate split units per shop
Some centres allow each shop its own split system so it can control temperature to suit its merchandise independently.
- 3
Window or package units for smaller shops
Smaller independent shops sometimes use window or package units due to limited roof space or a preference for lower upfront cost.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Prince Fawaz South
- 1
Get the system schematic from centre management
Before the visit, ask the management for a copy of the air distribution schematic and outdoor-unit locations so we understand the full system.
- 2
Agree on the best time for work
Coordinate with the centre management and your shop neighbours to pick a time that does not interrupt sales, usually during quiet morning hours or after closing.
- 3
Ensure outdoor units are accessible
The roof or outdoor area where units sit must be safe and reachable for future servicing and cleaning.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
The building is modern with large glass facades, does this raise the AC cost or running load?
Large glass raises the heat load noticeably, but we size the system appropriately and pick high-efficiency units to ensure good performance without wasting power.
The centre is shared with other shops, how do we coordinate maintenance?
We contact the centre management to schedule maintenance during hours that do not affect any shop, usually early morning or during closure.
The intense heat here and heavy footfall, can the AC handle continuous operation?
We select units designed for continuous operation in harsh conditions, and ensure filters and coils are cleaned regularly so the unit maintains its output all year.
The AC is central, how do we control cold air distribution between zones?
We install separate controls and dampers for each section or shop so temperature can be adjusted independently, while monitoring the total flow of the central system.
