Fitted right first time
Split AC installation in North Corniche
On the North Corniche in Jeddah, split AC installation demands careful handling because the outdoor units face strong winds, salt spray and coastal humidity. Alrabih's team positions both units with precision, runs insulated copper and a drain line that falls correctly, so your unit cools efficiently and quietly from day one.
- Mueller copper
- Full vacuum
- Proper drain

When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

What the installation covers
- Site check and unit positions
- Insulated copper, sealed wall core
- Drain line with correct fall
- Vacuum and leak test
- Start-up test with you present
How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
The North Corniche houses modern residential buildings and luxury villas with glass facades and balconies facing the sea directly, so the outdoor units sit exposed to salt spray, strong winds and very high humidity. Split installation here needs sturdy mounting and premium insulation to prevent rapid rust and corrosion in the copper and aluminium, plus effective drainage for the condensation that builds up with coastal moisture.
North Corniche lies on Jeddah's northern seafront along the Red Sea, a district of modern residential towers and villas with direct sea views.
Most outdoor units are mounted on sea-facing facades or elevated balconies, greatly increasing their exposure to wind and salt.
The AC setup in North Corniche
- 1
Split with outdoor unit on a sheltered facade
The outdoor unit is mounted on the villa or flat's side least exposed to the sea and strong winds, with heavy-duty metal fixings.
- 2
Condensate drain sloping safely downward
The indoor drain pan and outdoor line are fitted to slope safely, preventing water pooling and leaks onto adjacent walls or balconies.
- 3
Heavy-duty copper insulation against salt and moisture
Copper pipes and wires are insulated with high-grade material resistant to salt and coastal moisture to extend the unit's life.
Before the visit
Before our visit in North Corniche
- 1
Identify the best outdoor unit location in advance
Choose a location sheltered from wind and direct sea exposure, and confirm safe access for installation and future maintenance.
- 2
Ensure adequate space for outdoor unit ventilation
The outdoor unit needs clearance from obstacles to ensure good airflow, especially in a humid coastal setting.
- 3
Tell us about drainage routes and available mounting points
Show us where condensate can drain safely and where the indoor and outdoor units can mount without conflicting with building features.

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
Salt spray and sea winds damage units quickly, how do you protect them?
We use premium insulation materials and ensure robust mounting of the outdoor unit to prevent vibration and movement, and recommend regular maintenance to prevent rust.
Where should the outdoor unit go on a Corniche villa or flat?
We choose a location as protected as possible from strong winds and salt spray, typically on the side least exposed to the sea or within a lower courtyard.
Corniche humidity is very high, does it affect installation and operation?
Yes, high humidity increases condensation in the outdoor unit, which is why we install robust drainage and vacuum the lines before start-up to maintain cooling efficiency.
How thick should copper pipes and wires be for a coastal environment?
We use adequately thick insulated copper and select the insulation material carefully to withstand salt and humidity; the specifics depend on the unit size and distance between indoor and outdoor units.
