Window AC installation in Al Asaliyah

In Al Asaliyah, south Jeddah, installing window AC units in villas and residential blocks calls for careful sealing and levelling against the hot salty dusty air. Alrabih's team ensures the frame is level, every gap is sealed, and the unit tilts slightly outward so condensate drains away safely.

When a window unit is the right choice

  1. 1

A room with no outdoor unit space

Some rooms have no wall facing a suitable space for an outdoor unit. A window AC is the practical answer: one unit in the opening cools the room and expels heat directly outside.

  2. 2

An annex, staff housing or storeroom

Annexes, staff rooms and warehouses need real cooling without the cost of long copper and cable runs. A window unit suits these spaces well when the right opening exists or can be made.

  3. 3

An existing window of the right size

When a wall already has a window opening that matches the unit you have chosen, the frame fits straight in without cutting new concrete. We confirm at the survey that the opening suits the unit and the wall carries the load.

Who it's for

  • Need to cool a maid's room or home annex

We survey the opening or proposed wall in the annex, fit the unit in a secure frame and seal every gap so no hot humid air enters the space.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the opening or the proposed wall and your district, so the technician arrives with the right frame and fixings.

  2. 2

    Site survey

On site the technician measures the opening, checks the wall, confirms there is a suitable power point near the unit, and agrees with you on any changes needed before starting.

  3. 3

    Fit and seal

We fit the frame level, set the unit with the correct outward tilt, then seal every gap around the frame so no hot air, dust or humidity enters.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, check the cooling and confirm condensate flows outward, then leave the space clean and show you how to clean the filter.

What sets this district apart

Al Asaliyah is a relatively modern residential district with medium villas and apartment blocks with standard modern windows, and most residents choose window units for extra rooms or sitting areas to keep costs down instead of split systems. Though somewhat inland from the coast, dust accumulates quickly in the openings, and correct outward tilt is essential to prevent water seeping down the inside walls during humid seasons.

Al Asaliyah sits in south Jeddah, a modern residential district of villas and apartment blocks with standard windows and modern metal frames.

Most openings here are modern standard sizes around 60 cm tall and a metre or more wide, and can support window units of various capacities.

The AC setup in Al Asaliyah

  1. 1

Single window unit per room or sitting area

Villa and apartment owners in Al Asaliyah install window units in extra rooms and sitting areas only, not in every opening, to keep costs down.

  2. 2

Modern metal frames with strong glass

Al Asaliyah's modern windows are usually metal with double or tempered glass, providing a strong base for fitting and thermal sealing.

  3. 3

    Standard openings with consistent depth

Most openings here have consistent depth and modern standards, making it easy to fit the unit without extra modifications.

FAQ

Questions about Window AC installation

Can you cut a new opening in the wall if there is none?

Yes, if no suitable opening exists we can cut one. At the survey we check the wall type and thickness and look for columns or cables that might be in the way, then agree the best position with you before any cutting begins.

Why does the outward tilt matter on a window unit?

A window unit produces condensate on its indoor side throughout operation. If the unit sits level or tilts inward, water pools in the base and runs down the inside wall. A slight outward tilt sends that water to the back of the unit and out, away from the wall and furniture.

How do you seal the gaps around the frame given Jeddah's climate?

Jeddah combines high heat, humidity and salty sea air, so sealing materials must hold up in those conditions. We use insulating and sealing materials suited to the opening and wall type, and the survey determines the right choice based on the gap size and wall construction.

Does a window unit need its own power point?

A window unit draws a high current at start-up, and sharing a socket with other appliances strains the wiring and trips the breaker. The technician checks at the survey that a suitable socket is close to the unit position, and if one is not there we explain what is needed before installation proceeds.

Does the weight of a window unit affect how it is fixed?

Yes, the unit's weight directly affects how the frame is fixed and what support is needed. A concrete wall requires different treatment from a brick wall, and a wide opening needs more support than a narrow one. The technician decides at the survey what fixing method and materials suit the unit and the wall.

Are my villa's modern windows safe for a window AC unit?

Yes, modern windows in Al Asaliyah are usually strong enough. We inspect the metal frame, glass and latch before fitting to confirm they can bear the weight and the tilt.

The street outside is narrow, can you reach us easily?

Al Asaliyah's streets are generally wide and accessible. Still, tell us the exact location of your villa or building before the visit so we can confirm the van can park near the window.

Dust from the wind blows into my flat, will proper sealing fix it?

Yes, careful sealing of the gaps stops most dust and hot air. We use compressed insulation around all sides of the frame to ensure an airtight fit.

Condensate sometimes leaks down the outside wall, how do you prevent that?

We measure the tilt with a precision level to ensure a slight downward slope outward, so water drains by gravity away from the inside wall.
