Window unit fitted right
Window AC installation in Al Wadi
In Al Wadi, south Jeddah, family neighbourhoods with medium-sized flats bear intense summer heat. Window AC installation here demands tight sealing of all gaps and precise drain slope, since moisture and dust seep in fast.
- Firm frame
- Sealed gaps
- Outward drain

When a window unit is the right choice
- 1
A room with no outdoor unit space
Some rooms have no wall facing a suitable space for an outdoor unit. A window AC is the practical answer: one unit in the opening cools the room and expels heat directly outside.
- 2
An annex, staff housing or storeroom
Annexes, staff rooms and warehouses need real cooling without the cost of long copper and cable runs. A window unit suits these spaces well when the right opening exists or can be made.
- 3
An existing window of the right size
When a wall already has a window opening that matches the unit you have chosen, the frame fits straight in without cutting new concrete. We confirm at the survey that the opening suits the unit and the wall carries the load.
Who it's for
Need to cool a maid's room or home annex
We survey the opening or proposed wall in the annex, fit the unit in a secure frame and seal every gap so no hot humid air enters the space.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging a staff housing building that needs practical cooling
We survey each room and its existing openings, then install units in level frames with the correct outward tilt in every room as the survey findings direct.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the opening or the proposed wall and your district, so the technician arrives with the right frame and fixings.
- 2
Site survey
On site the technician measures the opening, checks the wall, confirms there is a suitable power point near the unit, and agrees with you on any changes needed before starting.
- 3
Fit and seal
We fit the frame level, set the unit with the correct outward tilt, then seal every gap around the frame so no hot air, dust or humidity enters.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, check the cooling and confirm condensate flows outward, then leave the space clean and show you how to clean the filter.
Proper installation or just placing the unit?

What sets this district apart
Al Wadi is a mid-density residential district with flats of varying sizes in buildings of mixed heights built over time, so not all windows are standard size. Intense heat and fine dust from seasonal winds stress window units heavily, and water leaks from poor drain slope are common when installation is careless. The unit needs precise frame assessment and sometimes relevelling of the window sill.
Al Wadi sits in south Jeddah, a mid-density neighbourhood with varied building heights and non-standard window sizes.
Flat windows in Al Wadi vary widely in size and shape, and most frames are wood or older aluminium needing careful checking before mounting.
The AC setup in Al Wadi
- 1
Non-standard windows in varied sizes
Al Wadi's windows vary in size, so we carefully assess each one to choose the right unit size and ensure safe mounting.
- 2
Older frames needing reinforcement
Many old wooden and aluminium frames need extra metal braces to bear the unit's weight safely.
- 3
Outdoor drainage on uneven ground sometimes
Ground outside some windows is uneven, so we plan the water flow carefully to avoid pooling near the wall or foundation.
Before the visit

FAQ
Questions about Window AC installation
Can you cut a new opening in the wall if there is none?
Yes, if no suitable opening exists we can cut one. At the survey we check the wall type and thickness and look for columns or cables that might be in the way, then agree the best position with you before any cutting begins.
Why does the outward tilt matter on a window unit?
A window unit produces condensate on its indoor side throughout operation. If the unit sits level or tilts inward, water pools in the base and runs down the inside wall. A slight outward tilt sends that water to the back of the unit and out, away from the wall and furniture.
How do you seal the gaps around the frame given Jeddah's climate?
Jeddah combines high heat, humidity and salty sea air, so sealing materials must hold up in those conditions. We use insulating and sealing materials suited to the opening and wall type, and the survey determines the right choice based on the gap size and wall construction.
Does a window unit need its own power point?
A window unit draws a high current at start-up, and sharing a socket with other appliances strains the wiring and trips the breaker. The technician checks at the survey that a suitable socket is close to the unit position, and if one is not there we explain what is needed before installation proceeds.
Does the weight of a window unit affect how it is fixed?
Yes, the unit's weight directly affects how the frame is fixed and what support is needed. A concrete wall requires different treatment from a brick wall, and a wide opening needs more support than a narrow one. The technician decides at the survey what fixing method and materials suit the unit and the wall.
My window is old and slightly twisted, can you mount a window AC on it?
Yes, but we realign the frame with special braces and check its strength first, otherwise the unit might shift or water will leak immediately.
Fine dust seeps in around my unit, how do you stop that?
We use a flexible strong sealing compound around every gap, including corners and sides, to block dust, hot air and moisture.
Water runs down my outer wall from the unit, how do you prevent that?
We tilt the unit very slightly outward and direct the drain away from the wall toward an open area or a drain channel.
The ceiling above my window is weak, does that affect installation?
If the ceiling is weak, we mount the unit chiefly on the window frame itself and discuss options with you, such as choosing a stronger window instead.
