When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Rayyan sees rapid urban growth with large housing complexes, hotels and commercial centres. These big projects need uniform ducts with precise known dimensions covering multiple units. Any gaps or poor sealing cause cold-air leakage that wastes energy and raises surface condensation in east Jeddah's high heat and humidity. Precision workshop manufacturing ensures clean, numbered sections arrive right first time.

Al Rayyan sits in east Jeddah, a district of rapid urban growth with large housing and hotel complexes and commercial centres.

Most large projects here use unified main ducts with square or rectangular sections, fed from central air-handling units in dedicated plant rooms.

The AC setup in Al Rayyan

  1. 1

Unified main ducts from the fan room

Large Al Rayyan projects need big main trunks (supply and return) branching to four or five sub-ducts per residential unit.

  2. 2

Insulated branch sections in varying lengths

Branch sections arrive in lengths suited to the floor heights, connecting directly to distribution outlets and unit fans.

  3. 3

Closed boxes with inner and outer insulation layers

Every duct has an acoustic inner lining and outer insulation layer, reducing noise and condensation in humid areas.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Rayyan

  1. 1

Request full duct drawings from the engineer

Ensure full HVAC drawings showing every duct diameter, length and angle reach us before we start manufacturing.

  2. 2

Identify the plant room and main access

Tell us where the plant room is and which main corridors and access points are used, so the team can plan delivery logistics.

  3. 3

Confirm the structure and ceiling are ready for installation

Check that ceilings, beams and internal supports are ready for duct mounting before sections arrive.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Projects here are complex with many branches; how do you handle large designs?

We work from full engineering drawings and divide ducts into numbered sections, so assembly on-site is precise and error-free without remeasuring.

Space on-site is tight; how do you unload long sections?

We agree in advance with the project supervisor on the best unloading point and how to move sections through the site to fit the construction schedule.

East Jeddah is hot and dry inland but humid near the coast; is insulation sufficient?

Yes, we fully insulate all ducts throughout and seal every joint with Foster, which stops condensation forming on the outer surface even in areas near the coast.

Do you ensure correct air balance and drainage throughout the system?

We manufacture ducts precisely to the engineer's load calculations and design specifications, and tight sealing ensures no air escapes through gaps.
